Ooh, I see. Now that I think about it, puzzle 25 already opened up this possibility. Thanks again, I doubt I would have figured it out on my own (or at least I wouldn't have been 100% confident about it).
Personally, despite being made for a game jam, I think Cinchromatic is in some ways superior to 0Player because of how much more radical it is. I spent much more time thinking about Cinchromatic than I did about 0Player (perhaps a skill issue on my part), especially at the beginning (figuring out the initial mechanics) and towards the end. I actually came up with some pretty interesting ideas for "meta-mechanics" along the way (maybe, if I have the skills, I'll try to implement them in my own spin on these themes).
A small personal digression: lately, I've been thinking about the possibility of creating a game similar to Cinchromatic, and what basic mechanics I could use. I get the impression that the number of possible games in this style (inferring rules from multiple puzzles) within the "space of all possible games" isn't actually that large. For example, your game uses human figures: could a non-humanoid alien be just as good at it as a human? In a sense, the game relies on certain elements that are "intrinsic" to human nature. Anyway, end of digression.
I can't wait to play your next game. I hope you and your collaborators get the recognition you deserve. Is there anywhere I can follow you on any of the major social media platforms?
