Reccomendations for coding software (on web)?

I am not in a position were I can afford to buy coding software. I would use Scratch, but someone mentioned 150 rubber ducks where available as a prize, and that sounds pretty cool. I want to avoid using coding software that needs to be installed too, because my options are

 1. Use an incredibly slow laptop that would expose me to my family (I am hoping I can surprise them with the ducks, or whatever I want to choose as a prize) or 2. Use my phone. The only thing I know about game development is that vampy big day guy and the youtubers who make indie horror games, and something tells me doing all that on phone would be impossible.

I would prefer making a 2d game, but istg if I have to make a 3d one I will die fighting and making it because free stuff is worth anything.

your options are very limited if you want to make your game on a browser/phone, so i think you still have to download a coding software like godot or gamemaker if you want to still win some prizes, although maybe you can try and hide your game somewhere in your files if you really want to keep it a surprise for your family.

Ahhhh okay. :( I have been looking online as well, and does CodeCamp count? Is it a good one? Cause I dont think we have to use godot, we just have to use script coding.

download steam on your system, get gamemaker or any game engine available on it, DONT make an desktop shortcut (the icons on the homescreen), tell your family that you got steam to play some games, make game in private

also you can make whatever game you want as long as it fits the themes you get dw

Otherwise there is an online version for godot called godot web editor. i tried it since godot is bloced on my school laptop and i think its exactly the same

godot also has a mobile port for whatever reason that still functions surprisingly well.
