[specs]

  • mac mini m2, 32gb ram, 12 cores
  • browser, chromium

[overall/first impressions]

  • absolutely phenomenal love letter to PT, fun and interesting puzzles, well done psych-horror without being edgy/overboard, great & uncomfortable voice acting and art.

[intro]

  • short opening door animatic/glitch sound

[audio]

  • VERY effective sound design, love to hear some human voice acting, really genuinely creepy atmosphere/ambience

[art/visuals]

  • loved the painterly style of the character art and the assets all felt really well-grounded in the world.

[customization/accessibility]

  • opening tutorial screen with controls/instructions, Hint button (never used but very nice to offer for a puzzle game)
  • pause screen with same exact screen (big plus)
  • no customization for display/audio (slight negative, but didn’t have any issues)

[gameplay/handling/controls]

  • WASD to move, mouse to look, toggleable torch.
  • walking-sim first person PT style psych horror.
  • fun loop with interesting and some slightly difficult puzzles. nice in-world shout outs to the devs/other credited people. very weird/surreal unsettling vibes in general.

[bugs/issues]

  • font used for the UI menu has a special character which doesn’t display due to it being a demo version
  • first and third phone said left click to hang up but the correct button is right click
  • was able to see through all doors by walking up to them as close as possible
  • in the bathroom, the eraser thing kept dropping when i went to scrub something and once i dropped it in front of the sink, i couldn’t pick it up again and had to wait til i died
  • the phone number entry on the last level kept repeating numbers so i had to wait about 2-3 seconds in between each one to get it to stop
  • upon failing the bathroom, there was a weird delay glitch where i should’ve died but didn’t and had to force restart
  • back to menu button on the final credit screen didn’t do anything
