Kinda like star Control 2 as an autobattler? But I don’t really see any elements of simulation here or any way to meaningfully change the outcome once you choose a ship and pilot.

No matter what I do I get a “YOU LOST” message a second after clicking “Battle”.

Developer

Oh no!      That's very strange. I'm looking into it, but I haven't been able to reproduce it yet. What browser are you using?

Developer (1 edit)

I was able to reproduce it in one way.  If you start the battle without   assigning any ships to  your side, you immediately lose because you have no ships.  Did you assign at least   one  ship  with a  pilot and  weapon to your side?

(The  fact that  the game lets you start that battle with out any ships is a bug.   The fact that the game is not more clear that you need to assign ships  to your side is  an  oversight that we need to fix.)

The you lost is cuase you gotta add more than one ship. by default it seems to add enemy ships and no player so you always lose. The game should not let you begin a battle with ZERO ships. That shouldn’t even ber an option cause it always results in a loss there no benefit to the player oly negatives.

Impressive that this shipped at all — 4 minutes before the deadline says it all. The space auto battler concept with a SHOP system fits the SIM theme well and the main menu art is striking. The Unity WebGL build didn't respond to browser input events, so I couldn't get into gameplay. Rated on what was visible: concept, art quality, and described systems. The alien creature art in the thumbnail shows some distinct visual identity.

Played the fixed build and it works now. Went into Level 1, built a ship in the hangar (auto pilot, ship_basic_01, arc cannon) and won 2/2 with the +1500 first clear reward. Watching the ships fight on their own around the asteroids sells the sim idea well. Small thing I noticed: the top-left button in the ship builder still reads "Button". Nice turnaround on the fix!

This biomechanical style is definitely worth noting! However, the gameplay still needs some refinement. Unfortunately, I couldn't find buttons to speed up battles :(
P.S. The music is really cool!
