This seemed really simple but turned out to have a very fun mechanic. You are basically a little grey goo apocalypse trying to absorb everything. I was kinda sad when It ended I coulda kept playing for hours.

The you lost is cuase you gotta add more than one ship. by default it seems to add enemy ships and no player so you always lose. The game should not let you begin a battle with ZERO ships. That shouldn’t even ber an option cause it always results in a loss there no benefit to the player oly negatives.

Kinda like star Control 2 as an autobattler? But I don’t really see any elements of simulation here or any way to meaningfully change the outcome once you choose a ship and pilot.

Graphics from the screenshots looked cool but the game immediately throws you into some kind of menu asking you to research / buy and there’s no way out of the menu you can’t choose any options and you can’t cancel or exit the menu so there’s nothing to see or do????

I don’t see this as a sim. It’s just minecraft. There’s no visible difference and nothing is being simulated. Day night is not a simulation it’s just a typical minecraft clone.

It’s basically a slightly more involved Risk / civilization with realtime building and live sim all around you but way too hard for me.

It’s not a sim and not new. You just click on things moving towards the tree and they go away. Not fun.

I could not figure out what I was doing.. Despite that it seemed to have a bit of detail.

this was very fun and kept me playing even though I had no idea what I weas doing. I might suggest adding a topographical view so you can predict where the water will start appearing… better as a player

Such a simple game idea but amazingly well done and engaging and the chill music really carries you through. I played Several several runs but I’m not very good.

kind of a punishingly slow incremental play through not much to do not much reason to stay there or to move around.

I can only imagine this game exists so the Judges know if your judging fairly or not. There’s only one possible rating for all categories but I won’t spoil it.

I think the idea works when combined my first play through keyboard was not being detected mouse only?? But I kept playing. IDK if it felt like a sim or more like a themed game though. The driving got a little annoying and at times felt unfair.

Thank you so much for trying! Yeah when you get stuck hit “Ask Jen” and she can help out!

POST SUBMISSION HOTFIX! Fix: after the tutorial, Jen’s “Show me” could leave Dan unable to finish the first floor (an endless run). Her fix now includes the finishing bail. One line of data; nothing else changed.

One line changed in data/game/tutorial.json: Jen’s existing “Show me” fix now adds when floor-complete: bail along with approach exit. No new text, features, balance or UI.
