Design Statement
I interpret the theme track as melancholic but hopeful, and so; celebrating life!

I've been into these kind of remembering or exploring the life of someone else, in hope someone else do the same for mine! I tried to make it nostalgic, Windows UI Evolution have always fascinated me, the muted and concrete theme of windows classic (9x) became my choice because the fact they feel so foreign, like this someone else's life.

I thought there's really no other better way to see what other (chronically online) people's life than the very inside of the computer that they use everyday. I mean, i am like that. So, that's basically where the idea come from. Sadly, i wasn't able to fullfill the initial ambitions and instead have to resort to this minimal caricature of the original idea.

Game Instructions (launch steps, controls, and gameplay overview)
Controls - touch works, but sometimes you'll need keyboard. gameplay? it's a point and click puzzle game, not the most interesting thing ever, i know, but i tried to make the story to be interesting, i guess. there's no coherent or consistent control layout.

The concept and presentation are cool, and the game runs very well. However, I didn't notice much of a connection to the game jam.

i can see why you don’t see the connection, this is probably because what I’m trying to convey is wrapped up in a niche. But essentially, the idea i got from the track is melancholy; sadness; but also hope, i find that every human live is interesting when you truly learn about them, the song reminds me what it felt to see and imagine another human’s life, sometimes through the windows of a house, sometimes through their digital persona, i want people to feel that too through my game, i thought Windows 98 was surely the bomb, but it seems i was truly mistaken. This game fails to relate with the modern era. Perhaps if i themed it around frutiger aero or a future that was never meant to be this will be more logical, but yeah; that’s essentially my thought process… i have much more grander plans at the start of the jam, but alas, all were for nothing.

Well, yes—in that case, everything is perfectly fine.
