Design Statement
When listening to the track for the first time, we both immediately envisioned flying through the air without a care in the world. Wichiq had the idea to have the player light up the environment, so we got to work making worlds that try to match the flow and beauty of the song.

Game Instructions (launch steps, controls, and gameplay overview)
Launch steps - In the Quiet Night can be played in the browser by pressing โ€œRunโ€ on the itch page.

Controls - Move your mouse or trackpad to move around, press space once the level is complete to continue to the next.

Gameplay Overview - Light up objects in the environment by touching them; light up enough to continue to the next level.

Good art direction. Visuals are super dreamy, fits the tone. Hand drawn art, yes please! Music /sfx are a tiny bit loud. Well done!

Developer

Thank you!! I tried to make the visuals look dreamy/surreal by photobashing the backgrounds so I'm glad that came across!

Congratulations for your game, such a nice and chill experience! The way you two handle the music, art direction and narrative as very good (and I'm so happy this is human made!).
As a musician, I loved how the notes played when you lit something fuses with the soundtrack playing. Very nice, amazing, wholesome game. It's 11/10 , like Rokevicius said!

Developer

Thanks so much!! :D I'm glad you like the music/sound, we tried our best to make it sound nice using free assets since neither of us are musicians lol!
