Design Statement
We interpreted the theme through the relationship between time, memory, and companionship. Rather than treating time travel as a way to simply undo mistakes, we wanted each rewind to come at a personal cost.

Players take on the role of Moss, a guide dog trying to save his owner, Arthur, from a fatal accident. Each time Moss turns back time, he gets another chance to change what happens, but gradually loses memories of the life they shared. This creates a contrast between the player's growing understanding of the world and Moss's fading connection to it.

Our key design choices were built around this idea. We used environmental puzzles to make each attempt meaningful, allowing players to learn from previous failures and discover new ways forward. We also used familiar objects, scents, and sounds to communicate memory loss through small changes in everyday interactions, rather than relying on lengthy explanations.

Ultimately, we wanted to explore whether the bond between two companions can leave a lasting mark, even when one of them can no longer remember it.

Did your project use any AI tools or assets? If yes, please specify.
Yes. Our team used AI tools to assist with both visual asset creation and some low-level coding tasks due to the limited timeframe of the GameJam.

Our team includes two artists, who hand-drew key scenes and created the game's visual assets. Some additional visuals were generated or assisted by AI to support the art production process.

Additionally, some low-level code snippets were generated with AI assistance. All AI-assisted code was reviewed, understood, edited, and integrated by our programmer.

The game's core concept, narrative, gameplay design, and overall development were driven by our team.

Great art; Great combination with the music too

I like the concept of rewinding time, and the song fit well. Sound effects were good. Very creative game!

liked it a lot. I think that the idea of using familiar objects/scents/sounds to communicate the memory loss is interesting but it also could be perceived as Moss being impatient about the restarts. I don't think the dialogue necessarily made it clear enough. I'd forgotten until the 2nd backtrack that Moss also loses his memories.

Otherwise, lovely story and concept.

You're actually the first person to leave a comment on our game! Our whole team was so excited when we saw it! Most of us are new to Game Jams, so your feedback honestly means a lot and gives us a huge boost of motivation!

As the writer and designer of this game, I'm still pretty new to all of this. While working on the story, I often found myself wondering how players would actually understand and interpret what I had written. Your feedback really gave me a lot of new perspectives and made me think about things I hadn't considered before.

Thanks so much for giving our game a try and taking the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback means a lot to us, and you really made our day! ❤️
