Looks great so far!! I think combat will feel a lot more punchy once you get some sound effects in there.

Since it takes so many hits to kill an enemy and sword swings are so quick, it would be nice if you could click and hold to attack repeatedly, just like with the bow. For those of us who are lazy about mashing the mouse button :)

I'll make some balance in the enemies HP, put SFX and other effects to make a better gamefeel. I'll test the attack sword in this way too. Thanx for the feedback! :)

Game was great! Only issue I found is if you walk in an out of a room before the door closes you can spawn more enemies. I repeated this a couple times and the boss spawned in the first enemy room. Not trying to be nit-picky, after all it's a low effort jam. Otherwise, great job on the game!

Yes, I noticed this bug but fixing it would be a bigger effort, haha. I'll fix this after the jam, thanks for the feedback.

It sure looks nice. I had a few problems with it. For one, there seems to be only one enemy type. This isn't necessarily a problem, especially since this is the low effor jam, but I really dislike the one enemy type this game does have. For one, it doesn't fit the art style. Secondly, it has way too much health, and thirdly, I think the idea of an enemy that multiplies when it's killed is conceptually flawed, as it thinnens the satisfaction you get from killing it.

Another problem I had was the predominance of impact freeze-frames when wielding the sword. Impact freeze-frames are a great way to show how powerful an attack is, but, in my opinion, you should only use them to contrast strong attacks from weaker attacks or in games where you can kill most enemies with a single hit. After a while, it just gets annoying.

Not sure how well this fits the theme. I guess there are monsters, but nothing really screamed "spooky" to me.

I really liked the final boss and thought it was really well designed, but I only managed to beat it because I got very lucky with the number of empty rooms I got. One more slime room and I would have gone insane.

Also, I don't know if this is supposed to happen, but when I beat the boss, it just disappeared and I was left in an empty room.

Thanks for the feedback.

I made this game in a single day and didn't have time to implement almost anything of the ideas I would like to apply.

There would be more enemies, I would make a balance of attacks and lives, I would make better graphics (if you see my other games you will see how I take care of this part), but I posted the game incomplete because the game jam claimed to accept even unfinished prototypes.

I plan to work on it more after the jam and leave it as planned. As for the theme, the other enemies would be ghosts and things like that, but as I said, I did everything in one day and I was already making a lot of effort for something that required little effort. Anyway, thanks for playing :)

Very fun, cool design of bosses, and sword is overpowered.

Developer

thanx for the feedback. I'll make a balance in the attacks later
