Great work on this one! Even if it is too scary for me D:

There's something really unsettling about the thought that in the future we'll need giant space mirrors to get sunlight to earth. Aside from that it's a lot of fun! I also was caught off guard by the requirement to use every mirror in the level.

Feels like Minecraft on NES :). I don't usually have the patience for tree-punching games -- maybe if the trees go down in fewer hits?? -- but I could place bridges all day.

The movement felt really fluid even when I was smacking into support beams. The hit sound effects made me laugh!

The gameplay was a lot of fun for being so simple, and the controls felt good! I'm not sure what happened, but I accidentally skipped past the instructions a few times while pressing space to start the game.

This felt really polished for a jam entry! The pixel art resolution felt like it varied a little across different assets, but that's just nitpicking. I lasted 87 instructions with attack / defend. And then I sat on top of a spawn point and died in 20 rounds or so :)

The puzzles were fun! It was nice that I actually blocked the light while standing in front of the mirrors.

I liked the two-stage dash! The bobbing light made me a little motion sick

The microphone requirement caught me totally unawares. Just like the real thing! Only much more fun.

This one made me smile :)

COME BAAAAACK

It's a little frustrating that I can't move horizontally while holding down the jump button. But I love that I can headbutt the face off-screen by jumping into it. And that I can pin it to the floor by jumping up and landing on top of it.

The hole in the ground is so narrow that it's hard for the player to fall through it. But you can spike the face down into it with a jump. Take that, face.

Looks great so far!! I think combat will feel a lot more punchy once you get some sound effects in there.

Since it takes so many hits to kill an enemy and sword swings are so quick, it would be nice if you could click and hold to attack repeatedly, just like with the bow. For those of us who are lazy about mashing the mouse button :)

I got stuck at the fourth room! I didn't mind restarting from room one, but it would be nice if you didn't have to skip through the intro again. Though the presence of a skip button at all was very appreciated.

Player movement was a little slow and floaty for my taste, but I liked the standing on enemies mechanic.

I liked the movement system! 90 degree turns felt a little on the slow side, but at the same time I liked that they felt different from the fast 180.

This was fun!! I struggled for a few moments with the reel before figuring out you have to grab the handle specifically. Maybe if it stood out a little more? The sound design and pacing worked really well. I fell off my chair was not spooked at all by the ending.

Getting flashbacks to dial-up...

My ancient laptop struggled to keep up! Too much lag to play through, but the look of it is great.

Nice work! That talking basket creeps me out. It could be nice to have different outcomes depending on what you  pick up. If that is something supported by Bitsy?

Nice work on the animations!! I'm really curious now to try chicken milk.

I absolutely cheated after reading the comment below :)

Being unable to look up was unexpectedly anxiety inducing! It fit the claustrophobic setting.

I had fun playing this!! Seemed sometimes like my clicks weren't detected, but that could also be my trackpad...

That's it so far! In the spirit of Low Effort Jam, the game is... not entirely complete :)
