How does your game fit the theme?
The game is about an orca who does math to stay underwater.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No, I've used some 3rd party assets.

Super unique mechanic of using blocks in game to do math. The art is very pretty and the animations and polish are great. The sounds are also well done overall great job :D
Oh the concept's really cool! In its current state I think it's difficult to control, the primary culprit being the dual controls with keyboard and mouse giving different information (you can move in a direction and dash in another, you have to always readjust the mouse depending on where the orca is)
I think a simpler control scheme would either be to only use the mouse, the orca moving automatically towards the mouse and dashing with left mouse button. Or with WASD and Space to dash
I like the core idea if the game. The art is nice and the SFX feels great. the hitbox being based on the tail can get confusing sometimes so a UI element to show hit direction would be nice. Maybe start with the ball speed a little bit lower so the player can get used to it and gradually increase it as the levels go up. Overall, great simple little game that with a bit of polish can go far!
Really creative game, and most intense math of my life. Very easy to pick up too, albeit my first thought on seeing the statement of a =/= b was "yes, that is in fact true, now what?", rather than thinking I had to make a = b, but I'm probably just dumb.
Also, there seems to be a bug where the ball can escape the trap, I only saw it once, but if you make a post jam version make sure the ball resets it's position in case it goes out of bounds.
Overall, great work on this!
Thanks!
I was so sure =/= would be less confusing than = when posting the game. Boy was I wrong... (no you're not dumb, it confused like every 3rd person and doesn't make much sense in retrospect)
And thanks for bug report, I thought I fixed that bug before uploading, but was wrong on that one too :)
It was a very refreshing game and fun too. I do wish there was an arrow to keep track of how the smorca would hit the ball. It was difficult to keep track of the ball and mouse. Really cool concept too!
MATH FLASHBACKS!
Things I enjoyed ✔️
- I enjoyed my time overall on this game, the mechanics were something I have never seen before!
- The audio is done very well, I personally like the sounds that are played when you hit the ball.
- The sprite work is very well done!
Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷♂️
- Honestly just have a very small tutorial at the beginning just in cases people don't understand how the game works.
Overall 📓
I had a great time playing your game! You did a great job on this one, and should definitely be proud of it!
Absolutely loved this one! The visuals are incredible and really cute! Gameplay is simple, straightforward and fun! I just think it was kinda hard to react and predict here the ball was going, but awesome job nonetheless!

Very original and innovative idea! I really enjoyed playing, only thing I would suggest is to make the ball a little slower so the player has a little more time to react and control better.
I feel like you kinda decided on the game before the theme was announced, and even though it's a solid idea the execution is not the best. In my first try i advanced to level 7 by doing absolutely nothing, and when I did try to hit the ball I found the controls very unintuitive and uncomfortable.
Wow! really cool and simples graphics.. the game feel is great too!
The whale is in 3d?
A very original idea, I really enjoyed the challenge of it. My only gripe is that the controls can be a bit finicky at times, but an otherwise great submission. Made it to level 8 :D
Cool concept and very original submission, never seen anything like this!
Loved the game. Pretty challenging and enjoyed the concept. My only recommendation would be maybe decreasing the ball of the speed at first so the player can adapt, then increase as the levels increase. Otherwise I enjoyed it and made it to level 9 after a couple tries!
A bit difficult to hit the ball, but a very innovative concept! I like it!
