Thanks, that makes sense. An MCP server could be a really good approach: it would allow me to keep AI features out of 1BitDragon itself, which I prefer, while still letting users who want AI assistance connect it to their own AI agent. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi,
Thanks a lot, especially coming from a game developer and former Unity employee!
That’s a very interesting idea. 1BitDragon doesn’t currently have a public API, and I can’t promise one yet, but allowing external tools and AI agents to control it is definitely something I could explore for a future version.
What kind of actions would you mainly want the agent to perform: create a complete song, edit notes and instruments, control effects, export files, or something else?
Thanks for the suggestion!
Whisky is a free and easy-to-use macOS program that focuses specifically on running Windows games: https://getwhisky.app
For macOS users: when you double-click on the application, you'll notice that it doesn't open. This is because macOS has blocked the app from running. Since this app came from the internet, macOS assumes it is not safe and automatically cancels opening the app. To bypass this, ctrl-click (or right-click) the app icon in the Finder, choose Open, and confirm.
