May I ask if there are any restrictions on the level and task? When I was doing the task, I wasn't sure which boss to fight, so I put it on hold. I thought it was because I didn't pass enough main quests
When I gathered all four books and went to talk to Mandela Grass again, it did not trigger the subsequent plot. I tried multiple times (including modifying the archive files) but did not trigger it
