If you don't want to spend the jam drawing buttons, here's a free cozy UI kit:

  • buttons in 4 states, panels, a dialogue bubble, toggle, slider, progress bar, tabs and 12 icons as 9-slice PNGs for any engine (the borders are listed in a json for Unity/GameMaker)
  • a ready-made Godot 4 theme
  • 15 matching UI sounds (WAV + OGG)

Free, commercial use OK, credit appreciated: https://ahustga.itch.io/cozy-jam-kit

Have fun building!

Hi! I made a free kit so jam games can have finished-looking menus in five minutes:

  • a Godot 4 theme: drop the cozy_ui folder in, set it on your root Control, and buttons, panels, check boxes, toggles, sliders, progress bars, text fields and tabs are styled (tested in 4.3, demo scene included)
  • 12 icons + the Fredoka font (OFL)
  • 15 matching UI sounds (WAV + OGG): clicks, confirm/cancel, toggles, pop-ups, coin, level-up

No AI used anywhere: the UI is drawn by code and the sounds are synthesised or built from real recordings. Free for jam and commercial games, credit appreciated but not required:

Good luck everyone!

For RPG Maker folks: a free horror sound kit with OGG files, so you can drop them straight into audio/se (MZ/MV) without converting anything: https://ahustga.itch.io/horror-jam-kit

15 sounds: jump-scare and dread stingers for event triggers, a creak and a knock for doors, a heartbeat for chase scenes, a metal scrape, an eerie music box, and two drones you can use as BGS. WAV is included too.

Royalty-free, for jam and commercial games. Credit is appreciated but not required.

Quick tip: play the riser as an SE about 1–2 seconds before a "Show Picture" scare, then hit the stinger on the frame the picture appears. That makes the scare land much harder than the stinger on its own.

Good luck with your games!

Hi all! Premade assets are allowed here, so I wanted to share a free kit I put together for horror jams: https://ahustga.itch.io/horror-jam-kit

  • 15 sounds: low drones and tension beds, risers that pay off in stingers, a jump scare, deep impacts, a heartbeat, a breath, a door creak, a knock, a metal scrape and a detuned music box
  • WAV 48 kHz + OGG, peaks normalised, folders by category
  • Royalty-free, for jam and commercial games. Credit is appreciated but not required

Tip for "Withering Away": slow one of the drones down 20–30% in your engine and fade the heartbeat in underneath as the player weakens. It sells decay without needing any music.

Happy to answer questions about layering or looping horror audio. Good luck with your entries!

Free horror SFX kit for anyone who still needs audio: https://ahustga.itch.io/horror-jam-kit

15 sounds: 2 tension drones, 2 risers, a jump-scare and a dread stinger, 2 impacts, a heartbeat, a breath, a door creak, a knock, a metal scrape and an eerie music box. WAV + OGG, peaks normalised.

Royalty-free, fine for jam and commercial games, credit appreciated but not required. Creaks, knocks and metal are built from CC0 field recordings (credited in SOURCES.txt); the rest is synthesised. Good luck everyone! 🎃
