A wondrously British flight sim with an old-world charm that does an exceptional job of setting the tone. It's clearly quite advanced, but it has this DOS-box vibe that compounds the 50's paperback aesthetic of humanity literally brute-forcing it's own tech into a strange new environment. It's something to do with the fact that Britain has seen fit to fly completely normal meteors on Venus and cope with the "eccentric" characteristics of the atmosphere by simply staying above the dangerous parts instead of developing new aircraft (excluding the airships) that can cope with it. Again, it's something you only see on the cover of a campy 50's sci-fi novel and i utterly love it.

The controls, while they feel somewhat odd to learn, are quite intuitive once you get a handle on them. Dogfighting from a free-rotating third person perspective is surprisingly doable, especially with the camera tracking enabled.

Overall? A lovely decade-and-a-half-old romp that will happily eat up a weekend afternoon. As somebody who loves non-warthunder combat flight sims, this catches my fancy in all the right ways.

9.5/10, would find out that collision damage doesn't exist on Venus by (accidentally) ramming into enemy fighters again.

Not much else i can do on a 2008 Dell Inspiron with only 1.8ghz of processing power.

:/

Sadly, i cant seem to play this because my Windows 8.1 PC doesn't support DirectX 12, only DirectX 11.1

Womp womp.

Otherwise, game looks absolutely awesome!

Ignoring all the response-baiting and tomshittery in the comments...

*Ahem.*

Having played the demo now after seeing plenty of content regarding this game, i gotta say; HOLY HELL I LOVE IT. All the hype over this game makes perfect sense now, and in my opinion is totally deserved. I don't have much to say about it that hasn't already been said before; Excellent combat, great polygonal style graphics, and extremely satisfying details such as shot-punching, blowing shit up, or the entire idea of the Marksman as a whole. i simply LOVE how much tech there is to movement and combos; and the little quality of life stuff such as a Stamina & Health Bar on the crosshair allows you to keep your attention on the action and less on the UI.
At first i wasn't used to the weapon switching system, but at this point i'm set.

10/10 would recommend, im off to buy the full game now.

Absolutely cash money. Hilarious premise, lovely momentum-based gameplay. A fun way to spend a few minutes.

This game, at the moment, is pretty much cash money.

I love the funny little tidbits scattered everywhere, the casual allusion to destruction, and the great combination of abilities that give you lots of wiggle-room without feeling OP by any means.
