Look sometimes you get so excited to do a pup play scene you enter into a magical realist dimension to fulfill your fantasies as a warm up! It could happen to anyone!

For real tho, it was nice to incorporate some aspect of my queer experience into a game.

Loved the premise of this! It isnt clear at first what is meant to be a growth and what is just part of the organ but once you figure that out its smooth sailing. Love the art and the music on display here.

What a cute little game!

Glad you enjoyed the ending! (And sorry I accidentally spooked you!)

Thanks! Im very happy with how the look of the game turned out. There were some bits of furniture I wanted to add that I couldnt because the asset didnt look great as a single color without shading or outlines. However, most of the assets had sub meshes with extra materials so I could have multiple shades on objects to keep them recognizable.

Really cool game! I like how customizable the rhythm display is. Very helpful in finding my preferred way to read the track. The multitasking element of it is just at the edge of being overwhelming which is a good I think. The beat is simple enough to time but the distractions from the other tasks make it that much harder to beat. Its a pretty hard game but I think it works for this. The presentation is fantastic too.

I like the timeline mechanic and the way it opens up whole new kinds of builds. Unfortunately the screen with the Mana count gets cutoff for me on my laptop so I cant strategize as much as I would like. I still enjoyed it though. It also could benefit from some music and having more feedback from your plays.

The sound design was great and the controls are very intuitive and easy to use. Creates a good arcade game experience pretty effectively!

I liked the simplicity of this. Its very pure in what it wants to be. Has a good gameplay loop and presentation which lines up with it very well. Its good!

I love the cute fox design. Also these puzzles are incredible. I love this game, its awesome!

I like how the clock hands move with the music. I found that to be a cool element. The platforming is a little finicky since it is easy to accidently ledge grab or fail to ledge grab by not holding down your jump. I like cute mouse with their oversized wrench. The presentation in general was cute. Cool game!

I love the vibe of this. I like that you have to read between the lines a little bit to figure out which ones are good and which ones are bad sometimes.  Running around and frantically checking your notes to make sure you dont get yourself killed creates some great tension. Great work!

Thanks! I thought of the aesthetic pretty quickly after I can up with the mechanic I wanted. I wanted to draw from my experience hanging around the gay community I’m in. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!

Thanks for the feedback! I made the mistake of taking a humanoid model with no rig early on so I couldn’t add any poses without redoing a bunch of work. should have picked a placeholder with a rig so I could add any add some poses at least. A setting screen would have helped both with volume and with mouse sensitivity so I will start investing in these things earlier next time.

I’m glad you enjoyed the escalation with the room! I think it succeeds in having a magical realist / surreal vibe. I’m very happy with how that part turned out.

( fun fact: I originally was using the Benny hill/ yaxty sax but realized that was copyrighted so I couldn’t use it)

Thanks for the feedback! The web build feels a bit more sensitive than the download version for whatever reason. In the future, I should plan and test around the web build earlier to iron out things like this.

Improving the character controller would be an interesting extension should I try to improve it further. I use this character controller when doing first person games so I will make a note of it when using it in the future. Thanks for feedback!

The presentation is good, and the upgrade system is interesting, but the game lacks a sense of escalation. Its also pretty easy since the bandits arent very threatening. Good bones here, just needs refinement.

A great tower defense game! I like how you have to bait the birbs into the cages which forces you to build your base around being able to bait birds and reach towers quickly. The birbs themselves are pretty dangerous if left unchecked so having the cages is just good to have even if you dont have the tower complete. The economy is pretty balanced and the escalation is paced well.

Also it is a novel interpretation of the theme which ditches the timers or sequential numbers which many (including myself) went with.

Its a straight forward Sokoban game but the puzzles are well thought out throughout and there I specific puzzle in particular that I really liked and I wish the game had more like it. The game peters out at the end as the puzzles sort of stop toward the end. I like how cryptic it is from a narrative standpoint. We see glimpses of a world that we dont really understand and never get the full context for. I like that. Good time, I recommend it.

I enjoyed this one. It is very straight forward and intuitive to play. It is fun to try and thread the needle between getting the toxic elements and ignoring the elements you are trying to save and you have enough tools that it doesn't feel completely random or out of your control. Very solid game!

The premise is interesting but the execution is spotty. The spikes feel haphazardly placed and the levels don't take advantage of the premise that much. The dash upgrade shoots the player way too far and feels unwieldy to use. I like the idea of having earlier playthroughs being times to gather coins for the upgrades later as the time ticks down and makes playing through it more demanding. I agree with Goat dog that buying time can trivialize the game. You don't usually need it though as the levels are simple enough to get through within the time limit anyway.

This one is great! I love how effortless it builds on its own premise. The pacing is perfect and it ends leaving me wishing there was more! The music is surprisingly relaxed given the premise, but I have been won over by this choice as I played. Just a great time, highly recommend.

A really hard game full of intrigue, doubt, despair, hope, and living on the edge. You do not have much margin for error. There is a clear route but the game is flexible enough to come up with your own solutions. I really like it.

Im echoing Charon here in saying the premise is really good and it was executed pretty well for day 1. Unfortunately, right now there is a bug which doesn't trigger the end of day when the timer reaches 0. I really liked what I played though. Lot of quick gags and riffing off of the stock assets!

The game has a nice tension to the platforming because of the premise. You need to make sure you dont destroy your own platforms by platforming as fast as possible. The only issue that jumps out to me is I wish it had music.

A very funny game! I like how things escalate! Failing multiple times can get old real fast though. Highly recommend it regardless!

Ok I can confirm that the mode isnt the issue since I have been able to get the special ending in awake mode. Also for future people who might also get stuck looking for the 3rd disk, its in the room with "mother". You don't say sorry at the final question and you keep entering the room until you are given enough time to grab the items in the top left drawer and bottom drawer.

UPDATE: I have been able to beat the game on normal (Nightmare) and I think I was soft locked because of a bug when I tried the first time. My theory is based on the fact It is possible to open one of the heartbreak doors without a key. My theory is once that happens, I think it messes up the ability to get the 3rd disk from room with mother in it. I am going to test this on my Awake save to confirm. It is also possible the Awake mode itself is the cause, but I am not sure about that.

I am currently stuck and can't make progress and I would love to be able to check my progress against someone else's. While I doubt someone just secretly has a guide on hand, I would like to figure out if what might I be missing or if I have just some sort of softlock / bug preventing my progress. I have gotten 2 of the rose discs for the rose box. I have gone through all of the doors on the 3rd floor, expect for the locked door by the mirror.  I don't know what to do with Mother and I don't know if I need to kill the massive zombie or not to progress. I talked to the demon in the basement but I can't figure out how to get the key for the final door. Anyone know what I should do?

I can confirm that some of the bugs Reid mentioned are still hanging around as of the most recent update 0.9.9u.  Here are the bugs I have encountered so far:

  • The menu bug with the inventory
  • The blood type bug
  • The ladder that shows up after interacting with the painting is non interactive for me as well
  • The office locking after you used the key on it
  • The blackscreen after dying in the graveyard
  • Auto casting bless whenever you enter the room with mother
  • I also encountered a bug that wasnt mentioned above where slain vampires still reappear even after you shoot them with a rose bullet

I am also stuck since I don't know how to make progress. I can't use any of my items and I have no idea how to deal with mother. I was able to find the big zombie in the graveyard, but I don't know how to defeat it since my weapons break after a single swing. Besides the zombie, the mirror with the eye icon is non interactive for me, and since I still have the auto bless bug I can't really deal with mother on my most recent save, and I don't know how to deal with her anyway. Its unclear to me if I can't progress because of bugs or because I missed something.  I will take a break for now until I can determine if I am softlocked or not.

EDIT: I was softlocked because I blessed the mother and so it kept auto blessing, preventing me from getting the 3rd ring. It is also possible to open one of the rooms without getting the key at all. All of the above mentioned bugs I found in my Awake playthrough, in case that matters. I havent figured out how to get ending z so I am going to have to look into that more.

That's incredible! (The Rocket Jumping to save the run, not almost getting soft locked). Something to fix in future if this gets continued further.

If you were playing in browser, then a lot of things are invisible for some reason. This issue doesn't show up with the downloaded version where everything is visible as expected. Thank you for playing the game!

If you were playing the browser version, currently it is broken since it doesn't show anything besides lampposts for some reason. I think it is because of a setting I changed with the camera but I am not sure. Regardless, thank you for playing the game and giving feedback!

The lesson I am taking from this and other comments is don't put off tutorialization until the last minute and find ways to communicate how the game works. I didn't put in things like button prompts or a clear tutorial into the game and the game isn't intuitive enough for people to figure out how it works without outside info. I plan to work on this some more in the future after I do some practice projects first. Once I do, I want to add more information to make the game less confusing. Thank you for playing the game and giving feedback!

A reoccurring theme I am hearing from the feedback and criticism I have been hearing is that the game is confusing and doesn't explain itself at all. There is a lot of simple UI inclusions and basic tutorialization I should do to make the game less confusing. I was so focused on getting the game to work I neglected to communicate how the game works effectively to the player. The fact that the note isn't scaled correctly for the screen doesn't help things. Thank you for playing and I am glad you gave it a shot!

Thank you! Our team is thinking about working on this game further. I definitely think we can make it into a much more functional, much less confusing, much more entertaining experience with enough time and effort!

That is understandable since I didn't create a tutorial to explain how to buy and place turrets and barricades. The browser was working a few days ago but when I made the build last night it ended up being completely broken unfortunately. Thank you for playing regardless and Thank you for giving feedback!

You can buy turrets from the buy menu if you press tab. I didn't make that clear at all in the intro. I will keep the sensitivity point in mind for future improvements. Thank you for playing the game and giving feedback!

Congrats on the win!

Thank you! It has been really cool seeing other people play the game. Its been teaching me alot!
