Lol... the page got restored a little while ago. Maybe leafo (the creator of Itch) got tired of people complaining on Discord. I mean, I'm not kidding, I've actually seen support tickets take over a month to get resolved.

Ok, no problem... I think I've learned now xD
One thing you should know about people with Asperger's... it's hard as hell for us to accept changes, especially if we're forced into them. A little while ago I was snooping around here and there, downloaded Butler, added it to the Windows Path with no issues, I did the login process without any issues, and it looks like I'm ready to start using it. At least all of that was easy.
Tomorrow I'll probably have time to look into the rest and upload all the files here using Butler.
Thanks for the wait and the understanding.
???
I don't get it. Why do you think they don't matter?
The first one literally splits the game in two for quite a while. Changes in the MC's personality are already starting to trigger certain events. The same thing will happen later with the relationship stuff. The results of the competitions matter to the point that characters' lives or deaths depend on them...
I really don't know what you're talking about.
MC can die if you make a bad decision at some point, and that's been in the game for a long time already... I don't know what you're expecting.
Sorry, but this isn't an RPG or open world at all, so none of what you're saying applies here. For starters, you can't just "go after" someone. This isn't even about that. There’s a harem, but the game isn't about managing one. That’s exactly why you can't choose who the team members are.
This is an AVN based on actual renders, not sprites. I’m pointing this out because every tiny variation of the same event means creating multiple images to reflect the changes. With my current setup, a single image takes between 5 to 15 minutes to render, depending on the complexity. And that’s just render time, not the time it takes to build the scene before rendering it... Just to give you one example so you understand: in Normal Mode, the finish line arrival is contested between 4 characters, and any of them can take any of those top 4 spots. Probability math says there are 24 possible variations for 4 characters (4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24).
That scene in Safe Mode consists of 17 images (Kaoru and MC talking while the girls finish). This means I’d have to render over 400 images to reflect all 24 possibilities for that one scene (17 x 24 = 408). I might be able to cut it down a bit, but not by much; it’ll still be at least 300+ images... each taking over 5 minutes to render and double or triple that to create.
Of course it HAS to be linear. Because the competitions already have many non-linear elements. And the competitions are vital since, every so often, a character with poor performance will be wiped off the map. Someone is going to die, and right now even I don't know who it is because it depends on choices and RNG.
Any AVN that isn't a Sandbox is linear, and this one definitely isn't a Sandbox. I use the relationship system to add depth, but the game remains linear because I control the flow, not a free-trigger system or the player's whim. In a standard AVN, freedom is always an illusion. Some just hide that fact better than others.
A small sample of this "disguise" for linearity is what I did a while back with the scene between Vanessa and the MC. Not everyone saw it because it’s a conditional choice. To see the sex scene with Vanessa before the competition, the MC must first have a certain personality score; if they don't meet the requirement, they won't even know the scene exists because the choice doesn't appear. If they have the score, only then does the option to have sex with her (or not) show up. That’s as much as can be done to disguise linearity.
I'm not sure I quite followed you there xD But let's see.
No, there aren't 72 different endings at all. I don't even know why you got to that point. A relationship status only serves to, every now and then, change some things regarding a girl's behavior with MC and one or two important details in the story.
Not every character is actually relevant even if it might seem like they are. Not every relationship status necessarily has to influence changes to the point that they need a different storyline.
The line is only one, well, unless there is another bifurcation again, just like the one there already was (and there will be, but that’s a long way off).
Not every earthquake in the ocean causes a Tsunami, and not every change in behavior is so important as to create a specific bifurcation for it.
No, to both things you mentioned xD
The current version released a few days ago is 0.6a, the Safe mode, designed for those who don't wanna see the girls getting involved with other men.
What I'm doing right now is the Normal Mode, version 0.6b, and that's what's coming next. It's still the competition and the events that happen afterward, until reaching The Fortress.
The difference between both modes is that in Normal mode almost anything can happen. Safe mode was programmed so everything always happens in a fixed way. Normal mode depends on the decisions you make, the characters' stats (all characters have stats), and luck.
Just so you get an idea of what's involved... Only the first 4 girls matter when it comes to reaching the finish line. They were chosen based on their stats and bonuses related to the type of competition. So there are 4 women competing for the top places. That means I need to render 24 different outcomes. 24 possibilities exist between 4 people (4 x 3 x 2 x 1).
But it's not about rendering 24 different images. It's actually that an entire scene, a sequence made of several images, has to be rendered 24 different ways to reflect those 24 possibilities.
And the other thing is no, because I've only shown 3 women, but there are actually 16 women. Each one has her own individual variable, even if some share the same love or hate ranges.
Because of continuity reasons I have to use the same music I used in 0.6a in version 0.6b, so at least for now I can't accept the offer. Thanks :D
Thanks. I love writing. What I do on Itch is nothing. I post stuff on Patreon twice a week xD
About what you said regarding Ren'Py, I honestly have no clue. The thing is, Ren'Py is used pretty massively for these kinds of games, and when you add the fact that it gets updated quite often, you end up with one game made on one version and another game on a different one. A single game might even go through several Ren'Py versions during its development. I avoid changes; I don't like switching things up (with anything, not just Ren'Py) unless it's absolutely necessary. I was only forced to change versions once because I had to format my computer and took the chance then. Fortunately, nobody has ever mentioned any performance issues to me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to play and comment. Few people bother to leave a comment unless it’s about something bad xD.
Honestly, I don't like the early graphics much these days. I suffer from the same thing many devs do: when they look back at their first creations, they just want to facepalm. In fact, once I finish version 0.6, among other things, I have to redo some of the early animations and scenes. Not everything, just a few bits, because I need to keep moving forward...

Demo updated to 0.5.6 ---> https://allnaturall.itch.io/30-days-demo/devlog/1319385/30-days-demo-now-updated...

You can see it however you want; I can't change your mind.
I can only say again that we are the only ones who can handle our own promotion. What do you want me to do? Be part of a bundle, not chip in my fair share, and just sit idly by?
I think everyone here is an adult and can easily see that this game is called 30 Days - Demo and that this was posted here, not on the paid game's page. Both bundles have demos and paid games, and nobody is forcing you to buy anything.
I can’t really say for sure yet. Once update 0.6 is finished, my idea is to have English, Spanish, French, German, and Russian as languages. But I still don’t know if it will be possible or how it will be done... For now, the game is only in English, even though Spanish is my language.
In short, it’s possible, only possible, but not anytime soon.
----------------------------------------------------------
Some things just gotta be that way. Everything has an explanation if you're really following the story. Because of that I don’t think I’m dropping any spoilers by saying this. That’s why I waited a few days... Asami and Megan deep down wanted what happened to happen, especially Asami. That becomes way clearer in something she says in a different scene from 0.5.6
MC actually gave both of them more than one chance for nothing to happen, and they both turned those chances down.
Haha... it’s in my nature to just write and write. I simply can’t help it.
It’s not that hard if you actually want to create something. I knew absolutely nothing about any of this a year and a half ago. I’d played a ton of AVNs, and one day, since I had some free time and needed money, I decided to learn and make something different.
I’ve had a programmer’s mindset since I was a kid... Asperger’s, plus a logical personality. Terrible combo for social life, but great for coming up with ideas and learning stuff. I started learning Blender, but after a month I realized it wasn’t what I needed, so I switched to DAZ, focusing on learn about optimization because of my serious hardware limitations.
Learning RenPy was easy. When I was little, I learned to program in Basic and made some simple games just using the manual from my Sinclair Spectrum 48k.
Obviously, I don’t know everything, there’s always something new to learn, and you pick it up as you go.
For many people, the really hard part is the writing. But if you’ve got the soul of a writer, that’s already more than half the journey done. So if you’ve got some time, don’t hold back.
About game development announcements, most people keep those almost exclusively for their Patreon supporters, and there’s a good reason for that: Patreon itself.
Patreon it’s one of the strictest platforms when it comes to content. I usually post previews of what I’ve done, but Patreon doesn’t allow certain things in public posts that aren’t for paying subscribers. I’ve mentioned it over there more than once. A lot of times, it’s not that we don’t want to share with everyone, it’s that we risk getting a warning or even having the page banned. In open posts, you even have to tone down the language if you don’t want problems.
So, we’re stuck with that choice: either make open posts for everyone but totally watered-down, or just play along and share the good stuff only with the paying crowd. In the end, it’s just Patreon’s way of forcing creators to follow their system so they can have more control and make more money.
The other option is to make double reports, one public and one for Patrons. But my reports are usually pretty long and weekly, and I can’t afford to waste extra time... actually, I shouldn’t even be writing this xD
No, thank you for the support and for your words.
Anyway, because of this game’s theme, I think I’ve attracted a mostly adult audience (talking about Patreon). Generation X, just like me. One proof of that is my Discord server, which has more than 160 people but is basically dead because I’m the only one talking. People over 40 don’t really use Discord that much. In fact, I didn’t use it myself before creating this.
I don’t know if you’ve seen my Patreon, but I really can’t complain there. It’s been going pretty well for me compared to others. A lot of new devs think making a game is easy money, and that’s exactly why they fail. I knew from the start this was a marathon, something that takes a lot of time to grow. On Patreon, I make around 500 dollars a month, while others never even reach 200. Of course, there are always others who easily make over 2000 in half the time. Patreon’s full of all kinds of people and projects.
The problem with my game was mainly here on itch. Something went wrong from the start and I never figured out what. I’m in contact with several other NSFW game developers, and what’s been happening to me here has happened to many of them too. Itch just acts weird with some developers, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
At first, my idea was to move people from here to Patreon. I was doing that for like a year. But then the whole Visa/Mastercard issue came up and things got messy. So after thinking it over a lot, I came to the conclusion that it’s not good to lose options. That’s why I decided to stick with this new system.
I have a part-time job in the real world, and together with what people contribute on Patreon, that’s what covers my expenses and the game’s development, since both things together make up a full salary. If I didn’t have that, I’d have to look for a full-time job, and the game’s development would slow down a lot. That’s what Patreon is for, to help someone who really intends to do something actually make it happen.
Creating a game, even if it’s just an AVN, is a long, tedious, and incredibly demanding process. And for that, you need both time and money. I’ve got the time, but without the money from Patreon, things would be very different, and there’s no way I could’ve just made a full game and then released it to the world afterward.
It’s just me doing all this, and it’ll always be just me. The money from Patreon and what comes from here goes into my everyday life (bills, food, etc.) and a bit of savings to slowly upgrade my hardware and help speed things up a little.
When I started this, I had a crappy computer with a video card that wasn’t even made for this kind of work, a GTX 1050 with 2 gigs. Now I’ve got a much better main PC than the old one (it died, passed away, and had to be completely replaced about 8 months ago), with way more RAM, a better processor, and an RTX 3060 with 12 gigs. I also have a small secondary Mini PC that I use sometimes for coding while the main one is rendering. All of this is thanks to the supporters, like you. Every bit helps.

Wonderful, and thank you so much... Rachel (and I’ve said this on Patreon) is based on me. Of course, I’m a guy... So, welcome to my world, or our world, though not all of us are the same, as will become clear later on, if you haven’t reached that point yet.
I don’t know how far you are in the game, so I can’t say much more 😜
So... yeah, it was either that or just dropping itch altogether like I said before. No NSFW dev on itch can get money without being deindexed, and that’s been going on for a couple of months now. Anyway, like I said too, donations weren’t helping either since I made ten bucks in a whole year...

Yes, it used to say "30 Days version 0.5" (or something like that) until a few days ago. And yes, it’s the exact same version that’s out right now. Also, like I already said, at some point I’ll be posting version 0.5.5 and 0.5.6 here for free, and maybe even 0.6 too, but if I end up posting 0.6 here, that’ll definitely be the last free one.
If any of you happen to be one of these four people, I offer my sincerest apologies, but that method just doesn’t work on the current itch. And if you’re not, then you contributed to a bundle, not to any specific game.
The truth is... I've been thinking about it. The problem is that itch doesn’t naturally allow payments. Unless you're part of a bundle, it's really hard to make money, because the moment you change your page settings to accept donations, you get deindexed, which basically means your game becomes invisible, and the only way to find it is through a direct link.
The game’s currently at version 0.5.5, and it’ll probably reach 0.5.6 in about a month... Maybe I’ll upload version 0.5.5 here next month and leave it as a "demo", and then have all the updates on a completely new page, but only for paying users. This page would just stay as a demo to redirect people to the latest version.
That’s basically the only possible way to do it on itch right now... but I still haven’t decided.
I’m sure you know not to click on links in the comments, especially if I didn’t post them. ITCH is still full of issues, and apparently they never thought about blocking links in comments. That’s ITCH, maybe looks good, but it’s all surface.
Even if I don’t post anything, I check the page often and delete malicious links, but you never know... don’t click on those links, for your own good.
This is just an example of what’s going on here on itch. Most NSFW creators work with Patreon and/or Subscribestar... itch is more like an alternative. Though for some, it’s their main source of income.
I decided from the start to put all my effort into Patreon. All the info is there, I post weekly reports, and I usually post stuff twice a week. I’ve also had a Discord for a long time, and I even post things there that I don’t share on Patreon. The Discord link is easy to find on my Patreon. Not everything is public, most of it is for my Patrons, but the game itself is free. The only difference now is that I won’t waste my time posting stuff on itch anymore. Not unless itch decides to get serious, 'cause right now, it’s not. On Patreon, I request a payout and it gets processed in seconds. Here, I’ve seen people wait over two months for their money, and that was before the recent issue...
Anyone can subscribe to any Patreon for free, in case you didn’t know.
I'm a dev and I'm in touch with other folks in the same boat... Yup, we've all been shadowbanned, directly or indirectly. Whether it's just temporary or not, no one really knows yet. Yup, some games have been 'suspended', apparently the ones with incest themes. The most popular tags like ADULT, NSFW, EROGE and a bunch of others are useless now, barely showing any results. You can't even search for a game by name unless you already knew the links... If this isn't just something temporary, we're seriously screwed.
That's 'cause you haven’t even played half of it. This game’s not like all the others. It literally splits in two right at the first choice you make. I’ve basically been making two games at the same time this whole time. Both routes are different, and you gotta play through everything to really understand some stuff.
Hello. The current version is 0.3. We're up to date... The next update will probably be around Christmas, but Patreon has priority. Two weeks after the update for my subscribers, it is released for everyone else. So if everything goes as normal, version 0.4 will also be available here at the beginning of January.
Thanks. Just one clarification though. Since the game is currently split into two real branches, I'm making updates for each branch independently, not both at the same time. The next 0.4 update will be the route where MC faints and hits his head. 0.5 will continue the alternate route where they're all naked thanks to Emma's crazy ideas. In 0.6 the branches will converge.
I'm usually releasing an update every 2-3 months, no more than that.
