After beating the game (1.00.3) I can say that this is probably one of the best Fan Games I've played.

Not "Megaman Fangame" but Fan Game in general. Despite having a few rough spots in level design(a bunch of instakill), some pretty strange bugs and (imo) a lack of Check Points in some places.

I never got frustrated with an insane difficulty spike because "the game was made for veterans of the series" which for some reason seems to be the philosophy most developers follow, it was a comfortably challenging ride from beginning to end and I love it!

I can put this along side the SNES X Trilogy, and if you get every game breaking bug fixed this may become my favorite X game. Good job and congratulations!

I've beaten 3 mavericks and so far, amazing game, the challenge seems very fair and the difficulty is very close to the SNES Megaman X games.

Although some level design seems to lean too much on "Platforms over Instakill/Bottomless pits, go!" at certain points in the level and contains quite a bit of obscured by camera instakills, it's nothing that a calm approach can't handle, which is good!

The only thing I think the game needs more is check points...

Arson Vulpine's Stage has this loooooong crushing portion that goes for probably over half of the stage, and while it's not that bad, one mistake can lead to basically back to the start of the level and it can be a bit frustrating, especially considering Megaman X's explorative nature. How can I explore and find secrets if everytime I die I'm sent back 2~3 set pieces?

Tundrion Bear Stage is another example, we have that quite long icicle segment where we need to shoot the ice from the ceiling to make platforms over spikes, it takes a while and if ends with a bottomless pit segment. You'd think the end of that set piece(when you get outside) would have a checkpoint, so I decided to jump on the pits and explore for secrets like any sane person would do(lol) and I accidentally ended up dying... and then I had to do the ceiling ice platform segment again like, c'mon...

Again, it's not unbalanced difficulty like most Fan Games have(which is great!), it's just a lack of check points after what feels long set pieces that this game needs imo.

I have a bad history with fangames. I swear that all fangames I played, I had a bad time. Don't know why, I just really don't like them.

Not the case with this one.
Kura 5 managed to grab my attention from the very beginning, and them some! While I was bummed out about a few decisions at first... like the fact that we don't gain experience by fighting monsters... I like to make wacky builds on my Boktai :((

And the mid game, after you unfreeze the Solar Tree root, felt really confusing and rushed, as events just seemed to suddenly happen and then I'm thrown in this weird area where there's no sun and getting teleported to random locations... I also got a bit frustrated against the 4th Immortal, those were truly dark times, but the story kept me going and I'm so glad I kept going!

It's an amazing game, with an amazing story to tell, and it makes me happy that Boktai fans now have a 5th game to play!

I'm currently playing NG+, doing all the side quests I missed. And while I still don't agree with a few decisions, I can gladly tell people to play this game and enjoy it for what it is. ;)

Truly, thank you for your hard work!!
