Hi - this is a known issue that has crept in as part of the latest release (v1.3.0.4). I’m working on a fix, which should be available within the next few weeks. Join the Discord to be notified as soon as a new version is available!

Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you’re enjoying it! The positivity helps to keep me going :-) It would be great to have you join the Discord and I’m in the process of setting up a Patreon page for supporters

You can preview cards using the Collection menu on the world map, but I do have a task on the roadmap to redesign building hands to improve the UX

Hola.

Thanks for the feedback!

Firstly, the RNG around rare encounters is known to be painful at the moment. It works out around a 0.1% chance to encounter T-Rexaur in Balamb (since there is only 1 rare in that region). I’ve got an improvement to this coming in the next release (v1.3.0, aiming for next week). You can track that particular issue here.

Second, the point you mention around region completion is an apt one. I’ve actually got a separate piece of work on my roadmap to rework this a little, such that card collection isn’t a requirement to move passed a region (especially when it’s a grind to do so). I’ve actually created that off the back of this request.

Fortunately, the only regions that require card completion currently are Dollet and Timber. Balamb is optional (to unlock the boss), and later regions have other conditions.

Hopefully you’re enjoying the game in spite of these issues! I’m working on releasing regular changes (including new features and content, quality of life improvements, and bug fixes). Join the Discord server to get the updates first!

You should just be able to play direct in the browser here. Click “Run Game” if it doesn’t automatically start

That’s interesting - it’s definitely there. Clearly the RNG and rarity weighting has been unkind to you 😅. Others have received it, which is how I know it’s still working. I have captured this feedback around improving the drop rates, however. Please upvote, as it helps with prioritisation.

Great spot! I actually noticed this myself yesterday. I’ve captured it as a QoL improvement to include in the next release

Thanks! I’m glad you like it. I’ve got a big update due to drop very soon! Join the discord to get notified when it lands

Ah sorry you’ve had that issue. Can you give me some details of the platform you’re playing on, where you got to in the game, any error messages, etc. I’m working on some improvements for both state management and error logging, so hoping to improve this overtime

Thanks for the kind words - I’m glad you’ve enjoyed my efforts so far :-)

I do intend to return to this project at some point. I have an area to capture feedback, so I would welcome any you have. You can also upvote any other feature requests in there.

There’s no alternate way to save - you are right in that when you win a card it should be immediately persisted. The same should happen whenever you transition between different scenes. The Continue button not being available suggests that the save state isn’t being persisted. This is a known issue when trying to play through the browser (Windows and Linux downloads are more reliable) due to the way Unity works with OpenGL. The least supported option is a web browser on a mobile device, but even using a web browser on a laptop/PC has been known to have issues.

I apologise for any frustrations. Unfortunately, this is just a “fan-made” passion project for me. As such, I don’t get much time to commit to it, and tend to cycle back every few months. Feel free to join the Discord server, as I post on there when I make updates to the game

The game saves automatically as you play through it, though there are some known compatibility issues when playing through the browser

It’s on my list… on day. I don’t get much time on it and that tends to come on short stints. The more people are interested, the more likely I’ll be to work on extra bits like this 😊

Thanks for the feedback. I've, unfortunately, not had chance to get back to this project, so this issue is left unresolved. I do hope to return to it as a passion project one day! If you want to keep an eye on progress/updates/fixes, drop me a follow on Instagram, or join me on Discord.

Hi. Thanks for your feedback. Can you confirm if you’re playing through a web browser, and if so, which operating system and browser you’re on? Thanks

Unfortunately, this is a known issue when playing through the browser. Something I’ve not yet been able to isolate the cause of. Could you provide me with a few additional details?

  1. Which browser do you use?
  2. Are you using it on a laptop/desktop, rather than a mobile device?
  3. Could you describe exactly when the error occurred: which battle, was it during the battle, was it during card exchange, etc

Alpha just means it’s still in very early development, so definitely not a full game yet. I wanted to release it to the community early on to give feedback on the features and help steer the direction

No problem - glad you got it working. It’s on my radar to try to improve, so I’ll try to pick it up in an update soon

What platform are you using? There is a known issue with the card drop being a little fiddly and it does work better with some setups than others, but I haven’t yet experienced it not working at all

Is that Windows?

I’ve noticed this too - it’s on the list of things to try to sort. What platform do you play on?

Hi - I bought your basic pack a while back so I could try it out in a game I was building. I'm now ready to expand on my content, so I'm interested in this pack, but I wondered if you would be doing any packs that include inside buildings?
