Hi,  the ZX81 BASIC code is basically near enough the same as the ZX Spectrum version, with a few little tweaks here and there,  I'm also using a 16K ram pack so boasting the standard 1K.  I try to avoid constant screen printing, limit subroutines, and any unnecessary screen collision checks, keeping the main game loop as optimised as possible.  The programming process of this particular game is available on my YouTube channel as it was created during a 5 hour live programming stream, link available on the game page. 

JACKPOT 100

As seen on my recent YouTube live stream, JACKPOT 100 is a simple fruit machine style game, nothing spectacular it was more of a programming exercise.  Both versions,  ZX Spectrum and ZX81 have been programmed in BASIC and are available for download, REACH 100 to win the JACKPOT!!!

OK, I have resaved it using the DivMMc, hopefully it should work now.  

Very strange, i have just ran it on original hardware using  the DivMMC and it worked ok, also i tried it on fuse on my MAC and it worked.

BIG MAGENTA B@STARD

Speccy-MAN

Collect all the dots which will release one of the colours of the ZX Spectrum logo, once all four colours are collected then the game is completed! The game was programmed using Sinclair BASIC and has been kept simple, so no Graphics just the character-set of the ZX Spectrum, the idea being was to keep within the theme of the other Speccy games I have made using the @ symbol as the main character.

Guide the square through the maze to the bottom of the screen without hitting a wall,  If you hit a wall then your dead square will block the path, you've only 3 attempts!

ZX81 Penalty Shoot-out

Getting in to the spirit of the football Worldcup 2026 with a penalty shoot-out game, score as many goals as you can if the goalie saves it's all over!

Absolutely amazing,  I've a long way to go yet in reaching that level of programming.

ZXRAMBLE in BASIC programmed on an  original ZX81

 ZXRAMBLE is a Shoot'Em up as seen on the Animated ALex YouTube channel, your mission is to stop the Alien spacecraft from reaching the lefthand side of the playing area.

i was saving it wrong basically, so my mistake.

i'm still trying LOL ...as i'd like to make more games for the ZX81.

A few folk who have downloaded the new .p file have informed me that they got it working, such a pain, it must only work on certain emulators i guess. Unfortunately i only have a MAC.

it was created on the ZXSP emulator, unfortunately it doesn't seem to give an option to save as a different file format,   I shall try and convert it to the required file format, even if it means typing it again.

ZX81 Money Grabber 1K BASIC

Simply jump and collect the money (£) and then deliver to the safe (X) if you miss a platform then you lose all your money.
