If you need any insight on how to get stuff working for character mods, feel free to look at my mod with the data editor and copy whatever you want. As far as I'm concerned, the mod may as well be public domain.

I'm just about to upload a quick update to have it functional for the latest version. There's some larger changes I'd like to make but there's a big puppet/visual rework coming up so I'm putting things off until that comes through.

I think I got the link from thecatamites's cohost page shortly before that service shut down. Digging in the internet archive, I managed to find it: https://www.freelists.org/list/harmonycorp hopefully itch.io automated moderation doesn't kill me for posting a link

unfortunate you missed out on the time that "reply to all" was still enabled on the newsletter

Really excellent stuff! I remember the remark that AoTK was based more on the visual language of comics, rather than movies (like most other video games are), and this game pushes that further. I think the fight sequence at the end was especially well-executed, it really felt like platforming through a series of comic panels rather than a physical environ.

Sometimes it was a bit difficult to tell where to go to proceed, but the onus is at least partially on me for getting all turned around trying to make sure I hadn't missed any dialog.

If this is the "pilot" (per the Harmonycorp email), then I am very excited to see where the following games go!

I am aware of that issue, unfortunately, from my understanding, it's something that would require an engine-level fix, so it's a little out of my hands.

I could rework parrying shot to get around the problem, but Willow's defensive options are already not that great, so I'm hesitant to take away/rework one of the better (in my estimation) defensive cards.

This mod introduces a new boss for Act 2, the Ritualist.

At the beginning of the fight, there is a leader and 4 assorted lesser ritualists attempting to summon their master. After 3 turns, they will finish their ritual, summoning their master to fight you. Each lesser ritualist provides a unique buff to their master if they are still alive when the ritual completes. You may choose to eliminate specific ones to remove the most troublesome buffs for your deck, try to rush down the leader before the ritual finishes, or take the low-pressure turns to set up and face their master at full power.

Currently, the encounter uses the map art for the Wolf Tamer, so if you see that an act early, it is because you are facing this boss.

The positioning of the ritual master can also be a little wonky depending on how many units are alive when she is summoned.

Ero Slayers Mods community · Created a new topic Willow

Adds a new character, Willow, and 70+ new cards for her. Currently overwrite Scarlet.

Cards are themed around enhancing cards in hand, copying cards, a some draw/deck manipulation. There's a smaller package of cards themed around unequipping items or equipping into empty slots mid-combat to get buffs. Many of her attacks hit multiple times to better leverage bonuses to damage, but strength is very scarcely available to her. There's a couple of cheeky reference cards from other deckbuilders thrown in there, too.

(1 edit)

Thanks for making the thread, I'd intended to create it when I first uploaded the mod but my attempts kept getting sent to "Awaiting Approval" purgatorio by itch, probably because my account was new.
