A Discord community is definitely a good idea, lets people chat about their projects, find teams, etc, and doesn't have it locked behind a Patreon paywall.
Might it be worth creating some kind of community Discord so that devs can interact? It may help to spur this jam on and give people a way of interacting with each other, if only to show off their progress.
