yeah i thought that would be a problem. i wanted to write longer descriptions but could not fit them on the buttons and did not have time to redesign the ui into a state where there would be space for them

as in readability / clarity, navigation or something else?

thanks for the feedback.
is the problem with the upgrades the limited nature of the description or is it caused by something else?

"This is the story of a man named Stanley. Stanley worked for a company in a big building where he was employee number 427. Employee Number 427's job was simple: he sat at his desk in room 427, and he pushed buttons on a keyboard. Orders came to him through a monitor on his desk, telling him what buttons to push, how long to push them, and in what order. This is what Employee 427 did every day of every month and every year, and although others might have considered it soul-rending, Stanley relished every moment that the orders came in, as though he had been made exactly for this job. And Stanley was happy."

if you like the game and want to play it, i also uploaded a fixed version. (ratings must of course be based on this one)

(1 edit)

thank you!
as for the bullets: yeah, and the enemies also account for player movement while firing. this can make it possible to dodge by changing direction quickly, but does not really work for the big enemy ships. the game would have probably been better of without them

edit: fixed version now available

gravity affects your movement, letting you avoid stuff.

this version uses the wrong enemies for stage one. it may not be possible to defeat them normally. if this is the case, hold "L" to rush through the level.
other stages should be fine

if you cannot get past them normally, hold "L", it should get you through. the rest of the stages work correctly.

oops i forgot to change the level one enemies to normal after testing. game sucks substantially more because of this. unfortunate
