I came back after a year and, wow, it has improved a lot. The artstyle is super cool and you get the gameplay very fast. For now I’m stuck on the first boss but I will keep trying hehe

Thanks for your comment! I’d appreciate a lot to know where you got stuck (maybe with a screenshot) because I’m trying to tune the difficulty and the best part of the story is the ending so I can’t have players quitting on the second level hahaha Thanks anyways and I’m glad you liked the artstyle ;)
I finally finished the demo! Really promising! The web build is not that broken (for me it was worse on linux+wine), but I really recommend the downloadable version to enjoy the music, that you can’t here on web (at least for this version).
Spoilers below:
The collectible that’s hidden out of screen, that you need to walljump through a tiny space it’s the only one that feels unfair. The rest are well hidden and feel rewarding to find. The story and the misteries (the red moss/grass, the strange person with the weird language, the eclipse) got me hooked and wanting for more.
Very cool and satisfying! But I can’t capture the Ice Castle… I have level 40 soldiers and level 20 priests and I barely scratch it. What’s the intended amount? Or is there a technology to take the castle that I havn’t unlocked? If I’m supposed to grind level 100 soldiers or something like that, it’s a huuuge gap compared to everything you need to grind before that. Am I missing something?
I finally finished it! This time I found all body parts but I don’t know if I could find the whole collection. The Sus plush told me that there are 3 common, 2 Uncommon and 1 Rare items for most egg types. However, I’m not sure if that’s true…
I noticed the fix on the screaming computer demon, but now there’s a constant whispering voice “In your computer” that I also don’t know how to make shut up.
Finally, after another hour of grinding, I would have expected a little more of the final cutscene. The opening one was super intriguing and cool… the final one is just meh. Again, I understand this is a jam submission, but I would love to see it more polished. Not sure if I will play another round in case you make improvements because I’ve spent too long already here hahaha But I’ll keep an eye on future work!
To end on a positive note, I must repeat that the aesthetics and the references are crazy. From small details that catholic-raised people will notice immediately, to the retro-tech-religious elements, just cheff kiss
Great job overall ;)
Edit: This comment was for the first version of the game. See the replies.
I love the aesthetics and all the references I’ve found inside the game. It is clear that you had a lot of care with small details and I really wanted to play it complete, but I couldn’t finish it. I got stuck with a 0% of chances in every room (I unlocked all) so I couldn’t retrieve more eggs and I had completed neither the body nor the collection… I wanted to love this game, but it becomes really tedious, and I don’t know how to finish it. Also after an hour grinding, the demon screaming in the computer is very annoying.
I know this is a jam submission, so I hope I have not been too harsh. Also, I honestly love the graphics and the general vibe, and the jumpscares felt well used. I hope you find a way to improve the late game and make it easier on the late game player (maybe automating egg opening?), because I would love to get to the end!
