Hey all, my name is Colin and I'm an indie game developer/programmer. I'm looking to expand my portfolio and skillset by collaborating on small projects or contracts with a scope of 1-2 months long.
Most of my experience is with GameMaker and Unity for 2D games, but I'm open/willing to work on 3D games and learn new engines like Godot/Unreal/Ren'Py/RPGMaker. I just ask for some patience as I learn the new engines.
Comment here, or message me on Discord if you're interested. Let's talk about your game ideas :).

- Things I like:
- shooting the bullets are really satisfying with a good sound effect. I also like that they bounce.
- visuals are nice - the lighting looks good and reacts well to player movement
- music is exciting
- The game is challenging but fair
- Things that can be better:
- need sound effects for player getting hurt, enemies dying, and collecting pickups
- only one type of enemy - enemies have different sprites, but behave the same
- no replay button after winning
- I can be hurt by my own bullets. This feels bad
- Things I liked:
- Game has a fun concept and uses the theme really well.
- Gameplay is really smooth and exciting. It feels really good to click on a large group of plants when health is low.
- Visual and sound effects are very well done. The heartbeat adds a lot of tension.
- Things that can be better:
- Can't use health to buy/unlock anything. Health is effectively just a countdown :( .
- The colors are too dark. It's hard to see what the plants are
- Bugs/Balancing
- The difficulty (seemingly) does not reset after dying and retrying. The health seems to go down faster when I retry the game
- There are balance issues with clicking the plants. I got a score of about 15k by just clicking randomly
- Things I liked:
- the game is complete with a proper title, main game loop, and game over screen
- the enemies look really good. I liked the snakes
- the controls and UI are smooth and understandable
- good balance between enemies and health spawns
- Things that can be better:
- needs a gun and damage sound effect
- difficulty is a little too easy; no real reason to buy the upgrades
- level borders are hard to see
- notes/suggestions
- add specialized enemies like a tanky spider, or a smaller, faster, snake. This will give the player more motivation to buy upgrades
- Things I liked:
- The snot effect is really satisfying; especially the player's sneeze face
- multiple enemies are look good
- Things that can be better:
- needs more levels/boss (I want to play more!)
- Other notes (bugs?):
- you can shoot in all 4 directions at the same time
- the bats sometimes stop before they collide with the player
