why join

• the prize pool is real money-sized. $3k / $2k / $1k for the top 3, $3k each for most viral, community favourite and staff pick, $500 for most original and best clip, $5k in hidden categories, plus raffles. there's also a pool that pays back what you spend on credits while you build, up to $100 each
• you can go from idea to playable in minutes. you build on ryft.fun by describing the game, then keep editing it by chatting. no engine install, runs in the browser, multiplayer works too. good for artists, writers and designers who've never shipped because of code
• ranked by real players, not judges' moods. unique players, how long people play, votes and views. spending more doesn't change your rank
• your game gets played live. the team plays entries on stream every weekday

how to enter

1. build a 2d game at ryft.fun/create
2. post a clip on x with #RYFTGAMES and submit it on ryft.fun
3. optional: give it an itch page with a "play on ryft" link and add it to the jam

one final game per person, keep updating it until close. full rules and how prizes are paid on ryft.fun.

tip from watching the first entries: don't one-shot it. get the core loop fun first (the thing the player does again and again), then build on top.
