Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed the art, music, and story, and especially that the game gave you a calm and relaxing experience. That’s exactly the kind of feeling we hoped to create with Awai & Kochi.

Thank you for playing the demo and for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment!

Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in the game! I appreciate the offer. I don't have plans for additional localization at the moment, but I'll keep it in mind for the future.

Hi everyone!

We’re Big Neko Games, a small indie game studio from Japan, and we’ve just released our first game:

イモリ vs ヤモリ — Newt or Gecko?

Newt or Gecko? That’s all.

It’s a fast two-choice survival quiz that starts easy and gradually accelerates to 0.8 seconds per question.

Identify each specimen, keep your combo alive, and survive as long as you can. One mistake ends the run.

What’s waiting for you

  • 100-question survival runs
  • 500 specimens to discover
  • Photo-style, anime, craft, and 3D images
  • Deceptive TRAP FILES, disguises, and fakeouts
  • Speed bonuses, combo multipliers, and trap bonuses
  •  English and Japanese language support
  • Free browser play on PC and phone

Every correct answer adds a new specimen to your archive, complete with identification tips and commentary.

It starts simple. Then the timer speeds up, the disguises appear, and your fingers begin answering before your brain does.

This is the first release from Big Neko Games. We plan to make many kinds of games—from short, strange experiments to larger and deeper projects.

We’d love to hear how far you get.

What ended your run: a newt, a gecko, or a TRAP FILE?
