Yes, same process.

I made a little pixel game to propose to my girlfriend — and she said yes. 😊

It's a short side-scrolling walk through all the places we went on our dates, in the order we actually visited them. You stroll past each one and the Polaroids we took back then pop up as you walk, so it plays like the two of us flipping through our memories together… and then, right at the end, the question.

Walking through the places we dated

After the proposal I cleaned the whole thing up and released it as a template, because if you're thinking about proposing to someone too, I'd love for you to make it your story — your places, your photos, your own words.

Taking a Polaroid

The whole story lives in one data file. Places (with their backgrounds and dates), which photos belong where, the outfits, the cats, the route — swap those plus the matching art and it's a completely different story with no engine code to touch. Every line of text (names, dialogue, place titles, UI) is a row in one CSV.

Meeting the cat

What's in it:

  • Cozy side-scroller with a video-baked walk cycle and a "flip-screen" camera
  • Photo system — take a Polaroid at each place and a memory line surfaces
  • Cat companions that trail behind you, with little cutscenes
  • A scripted proposal finale — spotlight, ring, wedding dress, a yes / no choice
  • Three languages built in (English / 日本語 / 한국어), add more with one CSV column
  • On-screen D-pad + gamepad + touch, in-game menu, save / continue, mute
  • Exports to Web (HTML5), desktop and mobile

The proposal finale

Built in Godot 4.7, GDScript only — no C#, no plugins. Fifteen tidy scripts organized into core / systems / ui with English comments, plus guides included (CUSTOMIZING.md, ARCHITECTURE.md, and a CLAUDE.md so an AI assistant can help you reskin it).

Happy to answer anything about how the walk cycle or the photo system works. 💍
