Very cool stuff! I like the Gameboy-adjacent aesthetic and the music is pretty catchy. Decent level of complexity as well. Though I could only get up to 9 kills since I ran out of money.

Really cool what you achieved with the 3D renders in-game! It has a fun style to it, reminds me of Game Boy Advance but blown up to modern display resolutions. Also cute to include the awkwardness between them, which I think a lot of people gloss over in these kinds of things. It felt very real and the VN conveyed a lot of personality in such a short time.

Oh I forgot about the randomizer, that is a huge win tbh. Means I can keep playing it and have it stay new. I somehow forgot to mention the new pixel art is absolutely gorgeous, the secrets are very well hidden and fair. Been thinking about the game while away from my computer and itching to get back to it. I enjoyed how much the dungeons had a nonlinear feel to them, with skips like you said. Wondering if you studied any resources on world/dungeon design, cause you nailed it.

Props for making an Android version as well and also for the game instantly recognizing my controller. This makes me even more excited to try your future projects. I could gush on endlessly but I'll shut up cause I don't wanna ramble too much nor spoil anyone reading the comments. Bravo good sir.

Finally got around to trying this, and it's SO. GOOD. I can't put it down! You nailed the feel of the original game while making it feel completely fresh. Really cool that you got the new items in here, and the improved inventory is appreciated.

I have to highlight that you did a really good job of leaving breadcrumbs for the player to figure things out on their own, I haven't needed a guide yet and managed to complete like 5 dungeons so far I think? Along with 3 or 4 shrines. (Although I got spoiled on the way to use the groups of 4 blocks around the world just by randomly clicking one of those update logs, otherwise I wouldn't have figured out what to do with em). Found a lot of secrets, hearts are almost maxed, second sword and ring obtained.

I'm gonna beat the rest hopefully this week, but I wanted to comment on it now. Also some of the Moblins were tuggin' my heartstrings.

Great dungeon design and overworld design honestly too. Was fun doing stuff out of order, beat dungeon 3 first I believe. Then did dungeon 4 and 2, but at some point I think in 2 I had to go back and do 1 to continue with its item. Which is good, I love the semi-open style of Zelda 1 and LttP, perfect balance. Been playing for hours and just getting sucked in and have to remind myself to go to bed. This is just an awesome game overall. I vastly prefer this over the original. Not trying to lay it on thick, it's just soooooo good.

I loved this a lot.

Jingle Beach is such a lovely level idea, really enjoyed the sense of verticality and scale even in a relatively small level. The sound effects and chill music were very very nice. The art style is of course adorable as well. Love that little sprite so much.

My only suggestions would be i-frames when getting hit, and controller support, both of which I assume are planned but I needed to mention. Especially i-frames since I was getting juggled a lot by the enemies.

The movement feels fun and fluid. I'm not used to having a triple jump but I like it as it gives a lot of platforming flexibility.

I am really excited to see the final product, 3D platformers are a ton of work so you should be real proud for releasing the demo!!! Thank you for sharing with us!

Great stuff, love the lost media thing you did on social media as well, it got me interested in the first place.... bravo on all the musical puns! And the story was very cute with a great villain.
