Hey! I'm BreadProgrammer, and I'm looking for a composer who'd like to make the OST for my new short game, God's Demon, which I'm developing in GameMaker.
The game already has a playable version (with some bugs, obviously 💀), and at this point, it mostly just needs some polish and an OST.
God's Demon is a short top-down roguelite with demons and angels. You play as a demon who wants to become an angel... but to achieve that, he has to kill literally everyone. :D
The game is pretty short and can be completed in around 10 minutes, so I don't need a huge soundtrack. I'm thinking around 5 tracks at most.
I'm looking for someone who'd be interested in making original music specifically for the game and helping give it its own musical identity.
I'm mainly looking for someone who can make energetic music, somewhat inspired by the OST of Terraria. The game itself is very goofy and cartoonish, so I think that kind of chaotic, energetic videogame atmosphere would fit it really well.
The Hell area is especially inspired by the Terraria Underworld vibe, while the Heaven area is more dreamcore-ish.
The game will probably need music for:
- Menu
- Hell area
- A second version of this track will also be needed. It should be the exact same track, but with an additional sound/melody layered on top. This version would play when the player uses the "You Are An Idiot" skin, with the added part referencing the old "You Are An Idiot" computer-virus sound.
- Devil boss
- Heaven area
- Same idea here: a second version that is identical to the original track, but with an additional melody layered on top. This version would play when the player gets a card inspired by Charlie's Inferno, with the additional melody playing quietly in the background.
- God boss
So the second versions aren't meant to be completely new songs. They're basically the original tracks with an extra musical layer added for specific joke/easter-egg situations.
This is a volunteer collaboration, as I currently don't have a budget to pay a composer.
