I was really impressed by this. Amazing atmosphere and good puzzles, ESPECIALLY the one related to the wine. I wasn't totally sure what the clocks were doing, but I kept rewinding them just to be safe.
Well done!
This is awesome! First of all, the art is fantastic. I can't believe how quickly this was made. I don't typically play games like this, but I really enjoyed it. Having just one value to worry about that controlled everything is clever. I had fun planning combos and seeing what the enemies could do, but I ended up getting DESTROYED by the monster with the Toxic Smoke.
Nevermind I'm playing again and I actually made it to the boss. The Attack Order tab is so smart but I can also tell I'm about to lose haha.
Update: the time wizard hit me and put me at -3, but I didn't die. I also can't use any abilities so I'm going to assume that means I lost lol!
Great work and nice submission!!
This was really fun! The time rewind ability saved me sooo many times. It was cool to see my past self following my movements, it would've been sweet if his attacks could hit enemies, too. I played a few times and eventually made it to the boss but then I got absolutely destroyed. Also the boss was terrifying haha.
Well done and great work!!
Okay wow this is scratching a puzzle game itch I didn't know I had. This is awesome. I was a bit confused at first and had to restart a couple of times, but once I got it I was hooked. Sadly I ended up getting soft locked trying to upgrade components and couldn't continue (couldn't figure out how to restart levels either, without completely losing). Great use of the theme, super clever puzzle mechanics!
Please continue working on this after the jam is over!
Thanks IBricchi! I'm glad you appreciated the roll to move, that was my first try at animation (the other animations were from asset packs) so I'm happy it got a laugh! I'm with you, I definitely made the game way too tough at the beginning, moving forward I think I'll make the zombies start with much less health.
Cool idea! It took me a minute to realize that rotating was moving each cube once rather than rotating the entire cube, but once I figured that out (and that you could rotate the center cube too) I had some fun! I read some of the other comments and see you are interested in randomly generated levels rather than needing to create a bunch, which I totally understand, but I think the game could benefit from a few handcrafted levels to get the point across before jumping into procedurally generated ones. Knowing that you limited yourself to just a couple of hours though, this game is impressive and I enjoyed the puzzle!
Woah, cool game! The way everything was rotating as you stepped on the different platforms was really cool, it kept me thinking on my feet and I loved watching that little wheel roll around. My only suggestion would be please add a checkpoint! I finally beat level 1 but it was a struggle, haha. Reminded me of the Alt+F4 game, including the music!
Wow, thanks GentoGamer! The aiming has definitely been a recurring issue among players, if I continue with this game after the jam I'll definitely prioritize fixing that. Thank you for the feedback, I wasn't sure if the idea was going to be fun or frustrating so I'm glad to hear it turned out to be on the fun side :)
First of all, I love the animations in this game. The way the bullets go flying when you score and the guns fly off of the board with each spin is AWESOME.
I wasn't sure if my aim was really terrible or if I was actually hitting the targets in the shooting range, though. I think I might've just been missing them all, they moved fast! One thing that might be cool to take this further is if we could buy attachments or upgrades to our wheel with our points.
Sorry Woum! I rushed the tutorial so I understand why it is super confusing. By killing zombies you get to unlock more weapons and abilities for your wheels. The red cross that you start with is just a placeholder for the ability wheel, so it won't do anything until you unlock more.
I hope that makes some sense! I am realizing that I made the game a bit difficult, I just got really good at the game while developing, haha. Here's a hint: I hid a shotgun in the level, if you find it you get a shotgun for free!
Let me know if you're still having trouble, and thanks for giving it a try!
