I really liked this! Aren't all bugs just unintentional features!?

Thanks for playing, and hosting the Jam!
Yeah I did do a bit of balancing as initially if you took all the packages on day 1, your pacing would be completely glacial 😂
Glad you enjoyed the references! In terms of the other items:
- The lockers were just lockers 🤷♂️
- The prosthetic arms were supposed to be a reference to Violet Evergarden (which I admit is a bit more obscure of a reference, though there's not that much postal-themed media I know! 😂)
Thanks so much for playing!
Really glad that people appreciated the tutorials! It was quite fun coming up with different ways to demonstrate the different abilities, and I think it made me more confident to make the days shorter and more fast-paced (since people hopefully wouldn't need as much time fumbling with controls after playing the tutorial!) It was interesting trying to get that balance right (along with various over balancing! The game has too many mechanics 😅).
Thanks for noticing the previous jam references! I actually played through quite a few games before the start of the jam to get a vibe of what I should be making here (and just cheated and looked at the game descriptions for many others). Technically it's not my first itch game (I've done a few jams with friends/colleagues as a team!) but I didn't know how enjoyable it would be working solo! Definitely a nice change of pace from my day job.
This was a really fun game, that made my truly question my understanding of boats (and the concept of weight!)
Had a couple of naggles: although the game recommends fullscreen, it caused the coins to be extremely small on my 4K monitor. Changing my res to 1080P resolved this but possibly some scaling would be appreciated!
The core mechanics were very fun! And the length of the game didn't mean they didn't get to boring. My only gripe was at the end of the game: my boat hovered at about -2.5M when it reached the surface (it was quite big so some couches were in/out the water!) It then took about 10 minutes of adding balloons before my boat raised from -2.5M to 0M, which felt like a bit of a massive waste of time.
Other than that it was very well executed - Never heard of LibGDX before! Will have to check it out!
Awesome game! Managed to win in the end! I think this is an absolutely fascinating concept: making mental links to cards as you play to try and get some form of idea of the ranking. I think I had a somewhat decent idea of what was going on by the end, but probably was missing some key details!
Graphics/sound are lovely! Really stylish game! V cool!
Had another playthrough after the game crashed on me last time! Very much worth playing through again! The companion system works really well! Was surprised at how not-broken it was most of the time! Also running people over was so satisfying!
Thanks for putting the time in to fix all of the bugs (looks like it was a bit of a slog for you!) - it seems like the game is in a great state now and it something special!
Thanks so much for playing! And for noticing the recipient names 😂 It was really fun going back through the history of SBIGJam and looking at some of the old game protagonists! Even seeing some repeating characters. 😅 I do specifically remember downloading and playing part-way through "Ja Wizardman 4" in order to find the full name of "Geralt of Riverwood"!
Yeah a 3D/multi-layer map was initially in the cards, but proved to be a little too ambitious for me 😅 though possibly something I might try to implement post-jam!
Really cool! I saw OUT OF ORDER when I was researching all the delivery recipients for my game 😀 Didn't have time to try out episode one back then but glad to try the sequel!
I got partway through but encountered a game-breaking bug: when I pressed "move item" in the inventory (shotgun, after freeing hugh mann if that matters!) the game hard-crashed.
(slightly less urgent bugs, but the hotkeys don't seem to persist level-to-level, and I seemed to be assign 2 guns the same hotkey!)
Can't wait to try out the rest of it though! What I played so far was so good!
I loved this so much! Turtle jank was so funny. Poor little guy with a lot on his plate 😥
I didn't work out how to remove the popups until midway through day 2 😂 I was just happily mindlessly bashing buttons not realising the progress bar wasn't moving! Even so I managed to get the project 50% done which is.... good enough right!
Honestly outstanding! 10/10!
