thanks! if we got some time we def would love to make some updates to tweak some things for sure ^^
def a reset option is on the top of the list!

awe thank you! also that's fair! there was alot we scrapped due to time so some features like the reset button was ditched just due to time ;-;
also the cast system was a PAIN to fully get working as is, so there's def room for improvement! Thanks for the feedback if we ever go back on this game those are some good things to tweak for Quality of Life :)
also yeah that pufferfish loves to fly o-O we could def add a roof or something to make it so he bounces back into the level instead of fly into the unknown reaches of the universe! Thanks for playing <3
This is a very cool and cleverly unique Metroidvania, though one that could really use some polish. The concept of being trapped in a painting is strong, the pixel art is great, and the power-ups are genuinely creative!! even familiar abilities like the double jump have unique twists. The map works well, the upgrade icons on the character are a nice visual touch, and upgrades make backtracking smooth and satisfying. Reaching the end and having to cross the map with a full moveset felt seamless and was a great test of mobility, which is especially impressive for a game jam project.
That said, the audio needs attention: while the music itself is good, several sound effects (especially jumping, dashing, and bouncing balls) are extremely shrill and became grating over time...I noticed this both in the browser and Download versions. The character controller also felt a bit...stiff? Maybe adding things like input buffers and a variable jump would help a lot, especially in high-precision sections like the emergency lever ascent and threading between spikes, which led to several game overs (could be skill issue on my end too lol). Thankfully, the generous checkpoints helped reduce frustration. Overall, it’s a neat Metroidvania with lots of unique ideas, and with some polish, particularly to audio and movement, it could really shine!!
Despite the Itch.io “suspicious account” warning, I did download and try the game after doing some checks to make sure it was safe (confirming it was a standard Godot build, idk why its being flagged on itch??). That warning was definitely intimidating at first, though, and took some effort to feel comfortable launching the game. (not on you tho, hope they get rid of that warning)
Unfortunately, I got stuck very early on. Some rectangular gates let me pass while others were solid, with no clear indication of why, which made progression confusing. I assumed they were tied to defeating enemies, but after slowly clearing the first few (they felt quite tanky for early-game enemies, and mashing CTRL felt like an odd choice), they simply respawned and I wasn’t sure how to move forward. I really like the art style and think there’s potential here, but some bug fixing, clearer progression cues, and general polish would go a long way!
This is a really interesting and ambitious project, especially for a game jam, but that ambition sometimes works against it. It feels like the game is trying to do a lot at once (roguelike/Metroidvania/multiple suits/cryptic lore), which leaves some systems feeling underpolished? The roguelike upgrades didn’t feel very impactful, and suit switching rarely felt tactical, like most of the time it was just “switch to the new suit and never change back.” Movement also felt a bit too fast, with falling and camera speed making control awkward at times, and the lack of a variable-height jump stood out, would be nice to have for more precise aiming. ;-;
There’s clearly a lot of content here, but long runbacks and being sent back to the entrance after deaths or major upgrades made it hard to push through, I wasn’t able to finish the game because replaying the same areas started to wear me down. Suit change stations doubling as checkpoints would help a lot. The color customization is cool, but it’s easy to accidentally make the game pure black and nearly unplayable; swapping to white outlines for very dark colors could turn this into a neat intentional dark mode!! Overall, it’s a cool project with a lot of potential, but it would really benefit from more polish to match its ambition. I hope you work more on this! Cause this has alot of potential <3

omg thank you so much! yeah I totally get the issues, we had alot of plans and with the holidays and all coming we just ran out of dev time for some plans, so its def a bit buggy aha, thanks for the amazing feedback, I noticed that crt is a big issue so def a fix we wanna patch in after the holidays <3
also yeah, I noticed some issues with movement, we def gonna try to patch some stuff up, I really wanna dive into this fully, we have alot of plans and from the feedback alot of people like this, and im so glad!!
thanks for the amazing feedback and kind words! if we do go make a full version I hope you follow along and may enjoy it once it comes out ^^
hello! hmm that's odd? I know on chrome it takes a bit to load, at least from my testing? also with firefox i looked through unity forums and I saw this:
"Type this in the firefox searchbar about:config and search for
security.fileuri.strict_origin_policy It is true by default, you can set it to false.
“If you do development with local files and need to be able to retrieve other local files, you may need to set this preference to false. Otherwise, leaving it set to true offers the most security”
Maybe this helps. at least it helped me."
idk why if its just a unity thing or if its something on our end but its something we'll look into for sure, if this doesnt work let me know ill see what I can do, super sorry ;-;
omg yess tysm, and the feedback is great! also that's fair, it was a bit buggy near the end, as we had to scrap a few things and ideas before we could finish, def wanna do more with the puzzles that dive into Delilah :D
we got a whole plot and everything so def wanna expand on a "full version" since we wanted to do more with the game to real world interactions! (also tweak some bugs we noticed people have like the bright screen and the collision issues) thanks for the amazing feedback!! it means alot and im super glad you enjoyed alot!! also being honest too, its nice to get good feedback :)
Thank you so much! Yes that's totally understandable with the bugs, completely lost track of time to fully polish, plus we only had one programmer for the whole thing, as I'm not too knowledgeable with unity ;-;
It's definitely something we wanna do after the jam for sure!! As for the darkness yea, we wanted to include some outline to help as well but uh time caught up to us aha
Hmm, we'll definitely think on that for the full deal, we originally wanted multiple rooms and make the games vibe feel like those old PC point and clicks, but we'll do more play testing with people and go from there on this or just free roam 🤔
(Also glad someone pieced the lore well, great work detective aha ;) )
Thank you so much again for the feedback, I'm super happy you enjoyed this! And the bugs are already things we wanna work on after the holidays 😎
really fun entry! I love the movement you can do with the swinging! it did take me a bit to get used to it, BUT once I did get to it, dam it was fun! main issues I have is the bosses, they're super cool but also super easy to cheese, like the first one there, if you stand under the platform and spam attack you just win, it just has enough hitbox to damage the boss, so they die pretty quick
another boss too with a wrecking ball that swings around there, you can still swing in the air if youre really good with timing, so you can just spam attack and grip the boss till it dies-
also really clever design with the looping world! tho I dont fully see the theme used? maybe if the art was more stylized in that (eg monochromatic art or basic) or even something like one button for things? but still that doesn't take too much from how great this is! amazing work <3
Heyaaa! that's odd af, it def has to be how unity webgl works with firefox cause its pretty fine in both opera edge and chrome, thats off, super sorry about that :(
also 100% fair with that, we were wanting to zoom them in your face so anyone could read no matter what, but time got us there aha-
def some bugs were gonna fix there after the jam ends! Also saw you got stuck on some parts
SPOILER:
the 2nd room mainly, that one is more for the "reality" part, the main puzzle is to move and pull the objects around to reflect in the real world, mainly pushing the bed to near the closet, then you can grab a shard, from there move the frog out of the way and go back to the game and that square blocking the block should be gone by then, push the tv on your right, and then place the shard on the empty photo frame, it should then unlock the door at the end of the hall and bam :D
hope this help, I know my other team member Shabrys is making a full playthrough soon to help out as well in case :)
but thanks for playing! really sorry for those bugs, idk why firefox bugging out with it, we'll see what we can do for sure! also make it a bit more readable and easier to grab items you need to read :)
Thank you so much! we had alot of fun making this and really wanted to do some fun things with the concept!
Yeah i totally agree, the light on the tv is a biiiit too bright to read some things, also for the puzzles yeah we had plans but alot of bugs made us had to dumb down some of it near the end ;-;
def adjustments were gonna add when we work more on this! tysm for the feedback <3
Really fun platformer! I loved the use of the vision goggles and the dynamic music, both added a lot to the experience. The timing-based moments were especially fun. Overall, this is a genuinely great game.
I didn’t see the theme come through as strongly, but even so, the game really shines. There are a few minor bugs, like how easy it is to glitch into walls and get stuck, but honestly they didn’t take away from my enjoyment.

I really loved this game, and amazing work to everyone who made it. I hope it gets a full version someday because it absolutely slaps. Big pat on the back to the whole team!! it's unique and has strong early 2010s vibes!

really solid game! love the creative use of the theme and the sound design is just- PERFECT!
only thing I had is sometimes my direction would vanish, so i couldnt aim myself at all :(
but otherwise, this is a really solid game, I hope you do more with this! even if not, amazing work, easily one of the best for the jam!
its all good! its a lesson everyone learns in their first jam aha, I remember similar stuff with my first jam game aha- (mechanics didnt even fully work cause I was too ambitious ;-;)
and hey, I always respect custom animations! When I mean funky I just meant more play too slow yknow? just remember animations should compliment the action, otherwise it gets too floaty or just doesnt feel right, but props to you for even doing that, be proud you managed to do so much work in such a short time <3
best thing for future, and what I learnt is that always prioritize the needs first, then the fancy when you can! that way you at least have a good foundation! and if you manage some fancy, even better, if not, oh well, as long as the game is fun you'll do well! Still you did a good job!
dam, i got addicted to this! really fun actually! and the more chaotic it gets later on is fun! got 2nd so not bad ^^
really addicting, only thing is it'd been nice to have more assets that aren't unreal defaults, but I get with the time frame, and with how dam good the mechanics are I dont mind it as much, I hope you expand on it and add more to it! it could be even more amazing <3
its pretty alright, I like the mechanics, and the animations, tho they arent tied the best, making them feel funky, but with the time limit no worries, also the leaderboard doesnt work? I tried the game, but when i die, the game freezes at the main menu, I cant even use my mouse to click anything, also there's two settings? was that for something else or a bug? just curious, either way not a bad job :)
mm, not bad for a few days, though you're missing the main aspects, which are scoring and the theme, besides the name I dont see the theme being used much, along with no score, which idk, feels odd? I know it was only a few days, but I feel like time couldve been used more to make a score system, even if it meant just one level with alot of rats or something, but still good work for such a short time!
really unique game! I do admit it was confusing on the first 2 shows, but then it clicked and it was pretty fun! I do find some chart decisions are a bit funky imho but still pretty balanced overall, really like making crazy combo, and top 5 is a good spot <3
I do wish it told me how many shows were left, i didnt know if it was infinite or never ending, or if there was a way to Game Over, it'd been nice for even just a simple icon showing how many days of the show are left! also if you do more with this post jam (I hope so cause this is fun) would be cool to also build a card deck/show list yourself, cause it'd be nice to make a cool setup with certain types! also wish the thing wasnt as random, as it'd suck to not get the card you needed for those +10 bonus, and with a leaderboard the rng is kinda rough :/
otherwise this is amazing! great work <3

really neat game, like the card based mechanics, the characters are really fun! just thing to note if you are gonan do more in the future I'd 100% suggest getting rid of the MTG card and AI art, since I know AI art is in a tricky thing copyright wise, and i know Magic def wouldn't be too kind to you if you did release on steam and/or mobile, just saying cause I think you should def expand on this! alot of content for a few days, very impressive <3
