This is so well put together and the interface is awesome! I ended with $1,200!

This was a really cool concept and the graphics are highly polished! Great job!
As others have mentioned the ball can move a little slow.
I realize it's a chill game, but you could certainly add timer modes or track how much "yarn" of each colour you used to solve the puzzle to compare against a "par" for each level.
The radomizer settings were really neat. Didn't have time to play with them much but I couldn't figure out how to make a tertiary colour.
Excellent entry!
This game had a cool interface and I liked the concept. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be much challenge to it other than connecting the dots. I even experimented and connected neurons that weren't supposed to be connected and the game didn't penalize me in any way. There also didn't seem to be a difference between the different shaped neurons.
You definitely have laid the groundwork for an interesting game. Keep at it!
Hey, thanks for the comments and feedback. There was a lot we left on the cutting room floor in order to get a nicely polished game up in time for the jam and ship upgrades was definitely on that list.
I've seen and gotten stuck on some of those small asteroids. We might have to make those a bit bigger.
The strategy of loading up the rear early and running away definitely seems to be the preferred one according to the feedback. We hope to improve the enemy movement system (or at least randomize it a bit) so they aren't as easy to thwart in such a fashion and add a bit more challenge to the game.
I was unfamiliar with barrel racing also but only got disqualified once. It would be nice if it showed a ring on the ground or something to indicate how close to the barrel I had to stay. I only managed 22 or 23 seconds as my best time. Wasn't sure how the spacebar mechanic worked.
A neat concept! Nice work!
Hello fellow 2d space game maker! Your game was aesthetically lovely. The text was a little hard to read (maybe bigger and/or brighter would be better). The asteroid avoidance could have been more difficult. I never had to use the +/- buttons for the various systems at the bottom.
I also think the textual details about the planet/structure should be revealed after the scanning is done, not shown before. That bit confused me.
I really like this game idea! It wasn't obvious at first that I could rotate any white object but I figured it out. There's a bug where adjust one mirror/platform can cause another to move and screw up the alignment. Also for the platforms it'd feel nicer if I could click, drag, and spin the platform rather than just use the mouse buttons to rotate; I think it'd give the player much finer control over the game elements.
Good work!
This brought up nightmares of high school chemistry! Well done on a clever chemical twist of classic games. The first time I played I sucked, but the second time I got to level 9 with a score of 25010. Eventually I stopped getting antimatter balls (whether that's by design or just random misfortune) and that's what killed me in the end.
I think I encountered a few bugs during gameplay where sometimes atoms would fall through existing ones...it was hard to reproduce.
I'm sure it'd be impractical (or maybe impossible...I wasn't the best chemistry student) but it'd be neat if you showed me which molecules I made the most at the end of my game (and could name them!)
A solid entry into the jam!
Interesting entry. I had a tough time figuring out what to do or how to work the controls (or that you had to be in front of a person's face to speak to them). A map or text on the screen telling me where I am would be useful. Like other's have said, more instruction would have been nice.
The dungeon traversal was neat. A friend and I created a similar "3D in 2D" effect back in the early 90's using HyperCard on a old school Macintosh computers, however I quickly got lost when I accidentally started moving around and there was no minimap to help me know where I was.
I couldn't get far enough to figure out how the game related to the "connections" theme (if it did at all) but it'd be interesting to play a more polished version.
This is quite a good variant of this type of game and the graphics are great! I played this for longer than I thought I would, which is a sign that you've done good.
I didn't realize at first that I could use right-mouse to rotate the other way and save clicks, but even scoring in the low 50s on an 8x8 grid wasn't enough to get me higher than one star!
Took me a few tries because I think I kept dropping a part inside the robot instead of installing it, but eventually I figured it out. Very nice artwork and ambience. I think some improvements with the pickup targeting would have made the game easier because several times it seemed like I had to be very precise with my aiming to pick up pieces.
The yellow glow on the floor to mark the pieces was useful once I figured out that's what it was.
I was hoping to get to hop in the robot and walk around when it was fixed. :)
Nice entry!
Hello fellow 2D space game submitter!
This game was crazy hard because I kept crashing into the mothership unintentionally. It also wasn't clear at first that I had to collect the coins since they were the same size and shape as enemy bullets. The music is hilariously epic.
A very interesting take on the theme.
