Haha thanks so much! But you probably played the patch I dropped like a min after voting ended. It was a lot rougher during the jam, I always forget how the four day time frame is super tight. But glad you liked it none the less. Hope to see you guys again in the next one :)

I love browser sekiro, great animations, style, and gameplay. Definitely a top contender, top notch guys!

Very fun and great art, especially love all the references! Gotta love TBOI, great job guys!

Thanks a bunch, the comparison to into the breach is big praise!

Yes we totally plan to clarify how each of them works and to add in some extra sfx and graphics to fights.

Hopefully a new patch will deliver on that vision even more, thanks for playing and commenting!

Hahaha! Thanks so much, wow what a glowing review. We were really crunching hard to get this done and massive props to Jacob would did the backend and Gabe who did all of our music. They really did a fantastic job as always. For the art, every jam I do all the art fresh except sometimes using other peoples fonts. But Ive been really blown away honestly by how much people like the aesthetic! It was just supposed to be an experiment for me to see how far I could use a more limited palette.

For the music, I'll see if I can get gabe to upload that to spotify or youtube at somepoint, but hes always performing for a couple bands hes in lol. So no promises but Ill try my best.

Also very grateful that you played it through and we plan to butter this lobster a lil more so stay tuned! :)

Thanks so much! I do a lot of pixel art as well as image quantizing (taking photos and reducing their colors and making them pixel art), I did the same in our last jam too. But this time, I was trying it a limited palette of eight colors and found they really worked much better than when I used them with a 32 color palette.  So I really leaned into it and am very happy everyone likes the aesthetic!

For the sound design, you're very right. We got a bit ambitious for the four days as we normally do and had to cut a lot of planned stuff. But we're fully planning on adding, SFXs as well as better tutorializing and browser mobile compatibility post jam.
Thanks again for playing!

The moonkeys really could not push that button. But no worries, I really could push that button.

Five star narrative from me, Sequel idea: moonkeys can press button.

Thats a lot of content and very polished game. Love the winding up mechanic and all the bosses.

Wonder if you could make the time bar a health bar as well though, that might be fun. Also maybe a bit up buffing to the bosses by knocking the main character away a bit. But just some thoughts I had, Giving it five stars for enjoyment :)

Simple yet so satisfying. Love the heart mechanic thematically and the extra complexity it brings to the bullet hell. Agreed with the last comment, the ability to multi-kill with the heart would slap. But the game is already a banger without it. Nice job!

Nice! Quite good for a first jam, The intuitive UI especially, telling the user which keys to press and having a timer on screen. I made it all the way through.

Also little advice is I'm not sure if the ability to escape the stage was on purpose or I missed a secret there, but it made an other wise pretty complete game, feel a little less complete. Also the enemies, if you do an occasional raycast for line of sight, makes them feel a lot more fair and real.

Great job!

Pretty cool, I like the combo of snake and time based mechanics. I do have to say it only worked on mobile for me, I couldn't get it working on desktop. But once I switched to phone it worked. Nice job!

Managed to get 1.5k angels, the demons stood zero chance. Thanks for the fun game!

Cool game, fun switching between levels and going back to use the same stages over again. Nice work!

Very fun, and being able to say the countess died in fifty miles, made me laugh. Wouldn't be surprised if it ended up top ten or higher in narrative. Good work!

Very fun! Wish some of the puzzles were harder for hard mode, but had a great time trying to get my time down.
Good work!

Another great game Ana and team! Fun to see another creator from the Brackeys jam make more cool stuff. Also big congrats on the steam release! Would love to see Mochi get the same treatment, good work.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing and enjoying!

Thanks for playing! I added a little movement guide to the description to try and help ease some of the learning pains, will add a similar guide into the game in a patch after. But Four days is really a crunch, one of those projects that I think would be 30% better with even half a days more polish.

Yeah the game could use more tutorializing and clarity there. It's a known weak point and we'll probably add it in a patch post jam at somepoint. But thanks for playing and the kind words about the style and music!

(1 edit)

Thanks for playing!

Wow thanks for the recognition! We were trying to do something similar but slimmer than House Rules, dialog and stage based but an auto battler instead of chess. Think it came out kinda unique and crazy. Also we're releasing House Rules (renamed to Rulehouse) on steam at somepoint. Thanks for playing our stuff :)

Thanks so much! We we developing all the way up to the deadline and I'm really proud of the visuals. The combination of robots and plants as well as pixel art and collage I think came together much better than I expected. Also Gabe on our team cooked up some fire for the music. Also the homestuck reference is a big compliment!

Excited to join this one!

Another great game, played til the end, and loved the tardigrade character!

Thanks for checking it out! I really enjoyed Flora and it was a big inspiration for this game, so I'm very excited to see what you guys make next!

Really good game, inspired us in our latest game, talked about it in a blog we wrote. Thought it might be fun to read about how we took inspiration from it, cheers!

Bug fixed in v0.2!

Just released v0.2 with all these issues fixed, hope you come back and play!

Thank you so much, we were freaking out yesterday we actually won. We're planning on making a second version so follow for updates and thanks for playing and supporting!

Not yet, but you can follow our musician on Instagram. Or I'll respond here once we get a youtube channel up and running and post the OST. Thanks for asking!

Thank you, amazing bug report, this will 100% be fixed in the next version. We're working on having a way to save and load board states to make these easier to recreate/fix.

Thank you so much!!!! We honestly had no clue people would like it this much. Thank you for the support and we're definitely making an update, stay tuned!

Really liked all the characters and especially that they all had their own tracks and dialog! Did wish there was a little more onboarding/tutorializing, since I found my self not getting enough ingredients to make food until several nights in. But I did really like the atmosphere though, perfect for the theme and as a fan of dream barbeque, I can see the inspiration. Nice game!

Thank you! We tried pretty hard to make it accessible but also engaging, so glad you liked it. Appreciate the kind words!

Wow thanks for playing it all the way, glad you enjoyed it and sorry for robbing you of sleep lol! I actually already played your game and had a great time, the blade runner pizza aesthetics were on point. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for saying so! We're so excited for the results and everyone on the team has been crossing fingers and knocking on wood for the last two weeks. Its crazy and means a ton to have so many people think we're in the running.

Thanks a lot and will do!

Thanks so much for the kind words! The team worked around the clock to get it playing, sounding and looking just right. So glad you liked it and for the easter egg, if you click the 'O' in 'House Rules' in the title screen seven times it'll unlock all stages now. Also theres a second more hidden easter egg that exists if you wait for a bit on the map... but you didn't hear it from me.
