Glad to hear that! Feel free to reach out for retesting after you finish an update.

If you have time, I would appreciate playtest of my game as well: /t/7297291/skeetersio-real-time-multiplayer-trivia-game-first-min...

Thanks!

Hi, I tried few battles but I'm still not clear who comes next and why. In the first battle I got stuck at the start because I tried to make the game faster but didn't realize that I need to hit the button on the right to start - I would say highlight what is player expected to do next is better than tooltip help beforehand.

For you questions:

1. I stopped because I didn't care enough for the plant icons. If they would have more character they might be more likable.
2. Not really, I would try to explain to the player what is going on when it's happening in the first round so the player can adapt. One option at the time.
3. Yes I got that after first round but it felt like work trying to figure out what is the best strategy.

In my opinion, in this genre like plants vs zombies it's very dependent on the graphics. You have to fall in love with the characters and be curious what each offers. Only then you will try to explore all possibilities of the game.

Good luck with improvements!

Hi,
I made this because I couldn't find a good trivia game in the .io format, and I wanted quizzes to feel more competitive and social. It's inspired by sketchful.io's gameplay. All the illustrations are hand-drawn by me, and I used AI to help review/translate the questions.

There are two modes: Classic quiz, and Quizmaster - one player picks four answers out of eight without knowing which is right, and scores for every player who guesses wrong.

While the game is new, bots fill the public rooms when there aren't enough people (it takes few minutes if you are in a new room), so the experience won't be 100% right now. Please take that into account or play in a private room with a friend.

I'd love feedback on four things:

  1. Is Quizmaster clear just from the in-game help?
  2. Is Quizmaster fun to play?
  3. Anything confusing in the first minute?
  4. Trivia games are everywhere. What do you think of my take on it?

I'll reply to everything and happily play your game in return.

Hey, it's a cool mini game! Actually fun to play and love the graphics style :) Would love to see the light/water animate.

Hi! I just released Skeeters.io, a multiplayer trivia game you can play right in the browser:

https://daniel-the-dev.itch.io/skeeters

I wanted something like skribbl.io, but for trivia. You jump into a room with real people, everyone gets the same question at once, and when the answer is revealed you see who fell for which option.

The part I'm most curious about is Quizmaster. One player gets eight possible answers and picks four to show the room, without knowing which one is right. The right answer might not even be there. Everyone else decides: one of these four, or "the right answer isn't here"? The Quizmaster scores for every player who gets it wrong, and the role rotates.

Also in:

  • Public rooms where a match is always running
  • Private rooms for friends: share the link, up to 16 players
  • Solo mode when you just want to practice
  • A daily quiz: five questions, the same for everyone

Free, no download, no sign-up needed.

It's day one, so any feedback helps, especially on Quizmaster: is it clear what to do the first time you play it, and is it fun?
