Most of the post processing is just UE, no assets but the biggest reason it looks good is from the custom sharpening filter. I use standard bloom with super high intensity (like 200-250) then turn the exposure down to look normal, this blurs the screen and makes everything look soft, then the sharpening filter sort of exaggerates the soft image. Thats the main effect and the rest is just playing around with post processing to get what you want. The motion blur is maxed out and film grain mostly just shows in shadows. The only two custom post processing materials are lens distortion and sharpening and you can just follow tutorials for them on youtube. Also that blown out lens effect your’e talking about in that scene is basically UE5s lens flare effect with a really large scale.
Hello, do you think you have any space for an artist? I've tried godot a little but I have plenty of experience in unity. I can create 3D models, environments/levels and tailor the art style to what you vision for the game. My main weakness is characters but I'll definitely give it a try if you would like me on your team.
Thank you, I've recently been trying Unreal Engine 5 for another liminal game (not sure if it's actually going anywhere yet though), so voice acting would definitely help immersion. Although I don't have any budget to pay with and I don't want to use someone's talent without them getting profit. Thanks for the offer though, if I ever start work on a big project I'll keep you in mind if you want.
The music for that level is "Relax Beat" by Arulo, and I downloaded it from Mixkit: https://mixkit.co/free-stock-music/
I was a bit confused after reading your comment at first, but in your video after you collected the package, you did go to the right satellite but you ran past the electrical box and just looked at the door on the other side. Also a good way to tell if a satellite needs fixing, there will be a red light on a tower near it.
