Frodi is such a compliant character to dress up. Here's the original and the Pride Edition:

With the game's no.1 fan, ZaCk:3333's permission to restart the thread as long as she got a copy of the old one, I will repost old art, since they got buried underneath a bunch of long chats between myself and Zack. Thank you for all your support, buddy! You are a great motivation to break through the writers block when it happens! ^^
Well, this game is spectacular and I will be leaving a 5 star review to do my part to bring attention it rightly deserves. I've set aside time from sleep in order to play this game twice with different personality traits, and the detail between them is astounding. New options open up which alters some major parts of the story and none of it felt lacking when compared to the other variation.
The only thing I have to report are some minor bugs(?) and possible formatting issues. I'll paste my notes that I made in my second playthrough. I hope I've made them clear enough without giving any spoilers to potential players.
In the replay when HER name is no longer censured, there are two lines I've found that hide it again:
"____ tries to smile, but her eyes fill with nothing but guilt."
"Maybe ____ will play with me if she's done with her match."
When looking through the drawer, and going through the papers next to the portrait, the lost soul ponders about raising a fortune in a short amount of time, and ends in "But the question remains of why.", despite finding the reason on the desk beforehand.
I think there's a few formatting issues in the codex.
One is in Tristan's page. I think there's supposed to be a paragraph break between the sentence that ends in "entire life." and the next about receiving a scar.
The other is in Siegfriend's page. I think there's supposed to be a paragraph break between the sentence that ends in "heir." and the next which starts with "Along".
Edgar. Another possible paragraph break between "health." and "The two of you".
Aww, thank you! She loves you too! Kind of. If she pretends to like you back, will you keep giving her hugs so she can syphon energy from you without you noticing?
I think close to finishing my redux version to a quality I'm happy with, and when I do I'll open a comments thread, but feel free to open a thread to say anything before or after that happens!
Hi Zack!
LOL thank you for advertising the game! I am always so happy to hear just how much you enjoy it and the characters! I'm sorry the update is uncomplete, but I do promise 100% that it isn't paused or dropped. Even so, I hope you will enjoy the new bad ends; I'm not sure what you'll think about the cellar bad ends, but I'm sure you'll tell me 🤣
Being cheered on is more than enough help, thank you! 🥰
There was many times these last few months that I considered overhauling it, but I was stubborn and made it even more difficult than it needed to be. I need to remember that I am a single developer and as such I have limitations. I've learned it now, and I will adjust accordingly as I encounter struggles with creating this game so I don't need to do this again! ^^
Oh dear, I hate to say it but this wasn't fixed. I did test to see if I'd simply had outdated files by deleting everything including the file within the AppData/Roaming file, redownloaded and started a new save but its still the same issue.
It doesn't look like anything is different, besides the file locations but I'll post this again, just in case you notice something.

Hi! I downloaded this a few months ago and to my shame completely forgot about it. This was clearly my loss because wow, the effort went into this game is outstanding. All the different paths and variations, the choices actually matter in directing how the story plays out. Superb. Only completed three full route ending so far and the early assassin endings.
Unfortunately, one of the routes seems to be broken.

And while I'm here I may as well report some typos I found when playing the various routes. I didn't think to record what route they were on for you to narrow it down. My bad.
Altair: No idea, the master told me to searcg for solutions in books from other kingdoms... {search}
Narrative: You looked at the both of them. They used to cool winds and a sun that didn't scorch. {They are/They're}
Wallace: My Lord, she is a wanted fugitive from Requia! What if they attack us so thaht we'd hand her? {that we'd hand her over?}
Narrative: Sometimes you saw the King unable to walk straight in the mornings, but wouldn't dare asking him why. {ask}
Narrative: He was still a fearful mage and if he woke up, he'd probably burn this place whole. {I think this should have been fearsome?}
Samael: Lest not let them go anywhere near their food, right? {Let's}
Again, great work on making this game, I'll be keeping an eye on future works to play when I have spare time!
Hi, when I open the game it came up with this message:
Error [PassageDone]: <<AllClues>>: error within widget code (Error: <<if>>: bad conditional expression in <<if>> clause: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'Checked')).
I was still able to play the game, but thought you'd want to know about that. The game is very intriguing and the underlying occult horror kept me enrapt. I mean, I died at the end of chapter 6 but no regrets there as it seemed like a fitting end for my character.
Hey, sorry for the late reply! I was so busy at work and didn't have the energy to check the forums.
Most of the characters have trauma, but rogues are unique in that they all have something life changing happen in their lives. Granted, Ruwin's trauma and Mikaylis' is enough to make up for Beisel's cushy life, and Miyetta and Lor make up for Beileph's isolation, even the priests don't all have it so bad.
Rogues are definitely punished as a whole faction. Granted, Ashur takes it on the chin, but he's, uh... unique. In many ways, and I say that with affection.
Katnir is absolutely sentimental but he's also fairly easy for me to know how to react to him in the scenes. He has his guard up, and the worst thing to do is to try to bring it down. Let him come to you. It's a trick that works on animals, and Katnir was raised by them, so why not? Joking aside, he's fixated on his familial loss and wants something concrete, despite his knowledge that nothing lasts forever. It's a contradictory wish that you have to allow him to ruminate on. Don't offer promises, only chances, because he's too cynical/wise and knows that promises will get broken which will lead to disappointment. Chances are just that, you've given him the choice to take the plunge. His rogue traits make him want to take chances, even is his earth trait is warning him of all the ways it could go wrong. He is a character of great depth that I rarely see in VNs, and he's my favourite rogue for it!
ROGUE LIKERS UNITE 🤝
(I have to confess though, although rogues are my favourite faction on the whole, none of them are in my top 3 characters for the series...)
No problem at all, use whatever of my thoughts as you wish, and thank you for being an unwitting buffer for me to barge in and say hello to people! I've wanted to do it for a while and couldn't for the life of me think up a way to do it without coming across as crazy. So when I saw you mention me, I thought "Ah, a natural entry point for me to come in a dip my toe".
Everyone really are very friendly and supportive here, aren't they? I think the guild is rubbing off on them.
I will have you know that I've been over the new things in AVH to check for typos, and I've just finished the prison scenes. Still breaking my heart, thank you very much. ...Katnir-! *SOB* </3
And to Noodle, I'm glad to see another rogue fan! The rogues in this series go through so much, it's a wonder that they haven't gone mad- *remembers Ashur* -er. Madder. I remember in the original ADW release that someone wrote in to mention that Katnir was difficult for them to understand but he was the easiest rogue for me to "get", so it's good to hear that others are coming to understand him well. But ,then again, Earth types are rather easy to figure out.
Hi again, and a happy new year to you!
Best of luck with using that phrase as I think it would be unlikely to yield useful results, although you could prove me wrong! Almost all dead language resources I know (which, granted, isn't a lot) use as direct a translation as possible and skip out the nuance of the original word. The example I gave does better translates into "burning of the mind" but its more literal and direct translation is ardour and is what will be used most frequently, hence why I used that example since you'd mentioned that word previously for magic. Considering this, maybe it would be easier to find a single word and try and expand from there? Regardless, I wish you all the best with your search and a satisfactory resolution to it!
Ahah, I'm glad it was useful! I usually skim read IFs but this was very good and just grabbed my attention. Hopefully I won't find any typos when I start chapter 1, but I'll be sure to report them if so.
Out of curiosity, do you have a language in mind yet if you do choose to follow up on that idea, or are you still considering what would fit in best? No worries if you aren't sure or decided not to do it! I'm just being nosey at this point lol
Hi, first off, thank you for this bleak bundle of fun. Unfortunately, I found some typos in the prologue:
"You do not feel your knees bleeding from your trashing against the hard ground nor the countless cuts, tears, and bruises marring your body and have barely started healing." Thrashing instead of trashing?
"The void quals and shakes at the sound, trying to drown out the sound but fails." maybe squalls?
"You flinch closing your eyes from the sudden intrusion of light to your world of darkness." needs a comma -> flinch, closing
I also saw at the end that you're looking for new words for magic? Have you tried going through a dictionary for dead languages? An example could be "Aeling" which is Anglo-Saxon and translates loosely to: burning of the mind, ardour.
You can find a lot of fun, specific words that could fit your needs!
Thank you again for releasing the game! I'm greatly looking forward to reading the rest of your story!
Hello, I hope you are well!
I recently completed the game and have some notes that you may want to address in a new update. Sorry I can't be more specific in the list, I didn't think to include what scenes they were part of until now, as I write this! (Duh, what an oversight on my part)
I think I was playing v1.01, instead of the initial release, if that helps any.
In a one-on-one conversation with Kyros, its ends like this:
"He gives a final nod before leaving your room.
Once alone you remove your dress and hang it carefully, then don your church clothing once more.
He bears a small smile and a blush when wishing you a good evening."
When everyone comes together to plan the festival:
"Conversation is lively as you eat; your companions discuss their plants for the festival." Erm, plants? You meant plans, I'm guessing?
I found a possible contradiction against your notebook with Bryn:
In the notebook, Bryn goes with the priests to find Ceri and he's already chosen as her paladin. Yet here;
"Then Kyros and come priets left on some strange, secret mission, and they returned with you.
A smile stretches his lips.
Then I was chose to be your paladin. You saved me."
You need a space here:
I-I don't want to disappoint you. I just- the church has feelingsregarding pre-marital sex, and I-"
In one of Kyros' endings, he suddenly wears clothing and then loses them again on the next;
"But that didn't happen. So let's not dwell on it."
Another typo for one of Kyros' endings:
I"'m just getting started."
Another typo from Kyros, but I don't remember the scene (I THINK it's after their argument and they go talk to Ceri?)
"I see".
Despite the above list, the game was beautifully done! It was wonderful to see a more feminine touch on sexuality, thank you very much for making it! I was also a fan of the Hero's Journey so clearly you have a knack for storytelling! I wish you all the best for any and all games you make after this!
