When I was looking for a new game to try, suddenly remembered this one I played a long time ago. Stopped playing it because of the long pauses between updates (not a comment, just being honest). So went looking for it again. Just a note in between: 'Dreamland Wanderer' cannot be found anymore in the itch search (or I did something wrong) but found it in a regular search engine. Anyway; played it from start again, and was captivated again by the original storyline and the characters. After reading the log here and the comments, it seems you are taking your time developing the game further. I hope this little message will motivate you a little more to finish this beautiful vn to an end. Not developing it further would be a shame for all the effort so far, would it not? Greetings!

Pleasantly surprised by this game after giving this a try, although it's a bit more complex than the usual visual novels. Have to admit I'm only at ingame day 5, and as a good boy trying to go to school to follow lessons, but no location at the academy offers me something to do yet. Even when I go neatly at 6 o'clock. Is there something I need to acquire before?

Yeah, maybe I did not mention that clear enough; it's not an acute problem, but a problem to come sooner or later. I'm getting these warnings for a few months now and am reasonable up to date with replacing and upgrading everything affected, but regarding CH I'm dependable/dependant (what's the right word, sorry) on the developer. If not, then I know it is my own problem and not Vertigo's.

Okay, that explains why other renpy games don't get listed. Thanks for mentioning. I was planning on postponing that next update anyway, for as long as I can, cause games are just a minor issue in this matter. There is a lot more I need to upgrade or find an alternative for, and it's a slow process. Thank you.

Hi there Vertigo, I don't know if you are the right person to ask, but just try it anyway. My problem: I'm using a Mac, and earlier this year I changed my Intel based Mac for a brand new one with the new silicon based processor. It gave me unexpected problems: all kinds of application that seems to be designed working on the Intel processor, are now being rejected by that new type of processor. I'm working on that to upgrade and replace them all.

Why bringing this here? Well, in the list, only two Renpy games are also listed being rejected the next update. And one is Crimson High. See attachment. (the other is My catgirl thinks she runs the place, but that's an already completed old game).

My question is: are you using maybe older Renpy software and is it going to be updated? If not, I will try to find a workaround. Don't bother too much just for my sake, but If you know a solution I'm all ears. Thank you.

Thank you for this update. I would like to request humbly if you can find another download-source for the next one, other than mega. I don't know what mega does exactly, but it requires browser memory, and what I normally use (Safari) is somehow not enough and mega refuses to start the download. For this I have Firefox, who accepts de mega download procedure. But mega keeps pushing also for downloading the desktop application or make a mega account, what I really don't like (had one for a while, and it kept on spamming me for whatever extra's).

The next I don't mean on a threatening tone, so excuse me if I got the writing tone not right; but I have turned my back on games before that I could not download anymore exept for downloading the mega desktop application, which I still refuse. Would be a shame to leave CH after following so long now. But if I cannot get it without additional garbage, then it does stop.

Saw this with more games, about the same time yesterday, and a little bit after ITCH was down for an hour or so. So I think you can connect the dots and should be okay now.

For now it's just a small download, very quick on your device playable, and has not much content so it does not take too much time to find out what everyone is debating about. I recommend forming your own opinion. And deleting it again is also quickly done if needed/wanted.

For you question: I'm just one voice in the crowd, but think I'm not too picky and don't care to much about details such as a nose. Just liked option 1 or 2 but not 3. Just on a glance.

I read somewhere that you would like te hear from someone who's has been playing this on a Mac. Well, I did, and I don't think there is anything technically wrong with it.

I did notice that you have just a few functions on the lower side of the game screen (history, skip and auto) while other renpy games usually have a whole row of functions. If that's a deliberate choice, okay. But I would suggest putting the 'safe' function back. (I know, right click also works)

For the game itself (searching for the right words, better just be direct and honest but on a friendly tone): it comes to me as a little bit of sloppy.

First: de tekst varies in size, especially in the prologuey. Looks sloppy/hasty.

Second: (I play desktop, windowed size) most of the game the whole screen is filled, but then a few scenes follow with black sides at top and bottom, resulting in a different screen size, while the tekst is displayed in the black. Looks also off key.

I see it's already mentioned, but in one scene not the whole tekst from the professor is readable, see attached.

Story-wise, nothing to do anymore with wat platform is used:

Personally I think you let the player jump into situations too unprepared without even a hint.

Starting with the basketball scene, while I do like the puzzle element, it took me a couple of times going back to find out what I was supposed to do.

Suddenly over to the scene in the back of the cart was okay,  because slowly as a player you get explained why that was afterwards. But then suddenly the story jumps to other characters, in the tavern and at the professors lab. Maybe just a little frase "meanwhile, in the village" will do the trick, maybe it takes a little more effort to let the story feel more fluid. But in all, the story just jumps too much.

Last little thing, during the fight with the rats (easy enough for a first fight) in the second round an imp appears, while the professor starts warning about them for round three.

Okay, it seems I typed more than I planned to do. so I stop here. With just the last note that these comments are just my personal opinion. Take or leave what you want. Greetings.

Hi there, I encountered and error in the event progress menu's from the girls. It started under Naomi, but now several more characters I cannot view the progress anymore. When clicking on one of those girls pictures, I got to see what is attached to this message. Rollback or Ignore brings me back tot the game. Don't know if it's important, but I progressed until 'girls poop' and most girls are at 9 or 10 points.

Just go see her a couple of times more, build up your relationship level with her. And check the hints in her profile.

It is really terrible again; they appear everywhere en multiple a day.

No I promise, I have no knowledge to mess up something deeper than the settings menu allows. For what it's worth: the Mac version.

But like I said: it does not bother me much, it just raised an eyebrow.

Tried it again, and it was still possible:

I like to put a recommendation message here for this game.. I am not a music knowledgable person (even the character Alexis in this game knows more about notes than I do), and normally I ignore games that have seen no updates for longer than a year.

But the weight of the game attracted my curiosity (ten gig!) so I tried it. And no regrets here, the story is captivating, and playing for a few hours for a few days, I think I processes just a tenth or so. So many scenes to stumble upon, so much that tell about the characters, so carefully dosed adult scenes that it feels natural.

I hope you find the time to make this story complete, would be a shame to let this gem unfinished.

May I offer a tiny comment?

In this last opdate, the main character goes on a quest with Failis and Mara, while Aveline and Raine went apart for another job. It felt kind of strange when your party goes into a fight, and still can choose Aveline and Raine as partners.

Not a turnoff, but simply a bitt odd.

I've been looking at that scene at the right of this page, 6th from above, where Aveline is shaking up Raine. I can't remember getting to that scene during play. Is it a missable scene that I unfortunately did not get to, and if so, how can I get there? Thank you in advance.

Good thing that I keep the pages of the games I play in my browser favorites. This is another one that does not show in Itch's 'most recent' or 'new and popular'. Nice update, by the way.

Found it, on a Mac the route is a little bit different. Could be, but so far I have left the patch alone. When I'm not sure I'm not gonna mess things up 'under the hood'. When you play a number of games here on Itch, you got used to wait for updates, so that's what I do for now. No problem. But thanks for thinking with us.

similar looking (you mean Edo style old Japanese?): there are, but not on my playlist, sorry.

similar style (you mean kins of sugar coated sweet and bit of adventure?): try Harem Residence from Vendena or My new Island Life from Visq..

Or Isekai (thrown back in history) in general: many choices, I would say for example Isekai Fantasy from Lewd Lore or The Seam from GoodbyeHappiness.

Content->Resources->autorun->game->a whole lot of files and a few more folders.

Or:

Or:

Content->Resources->lib->python3.12->a whole lot of files and more folders.

Probably not:

Content->MacOS->(a few executable files)

The folder somewher else where the safe-files are stored (library->renpy->theseam.

Okay, after many attempts, I got through this. The quality of the cooking result does matter. If you got a result 'better not show this to anyone' but it's a sell's worth of 6, then you cannot bribe the dog with it.

Thanks for replying. Does that meal need to have a certain quality? Because after many attempts I got just a few for a relatively low selling price, and I did not have it anymore at midnight.

I have an issue with the bribe for the dog. I am guessing In need to prepare a meal first in that cooking game before entering Sara's room, or is that a wrong guess? Anyway, even when I got a decent meal for a selling price, (it is a difficult one, 'easy mode' made no difference) it does not show in my inventory, even when I cooked it right before. So I got nothing to bribe with. Or do I need to get dogfood somewhere else?

I had to read your reply a few times, but I have NOT blocked you. The only interaction we had previously you at least tried to look into my problem with that loopstuck thingy. (Further, I was away for the weekend, I have a life outside games).

So many negative comments (even before the new release was published; how?) Just for another sound, my opinion after playing 0.22:  I like it. Everyone here already knows how the story will go, so a new scenery and settings makes it still a refreshing new experience. Only thing I do miss slightly, is that very recognizable opening tune from the old game ...

It's just that train, and the window when you click on that:

Just click on one of the purple 'download' buttons above and follow the instructions from there. Naturally for your device of choice. If you want to know the difference between Mega/Mediafire/Gofile: it's just personal but for large downloads as this I don't choose Mega anymore cause it wants you to make an account an download a Mega-file first. Mediafire is slow, but in my opinion reliable. Gofile don't really know the pro's and con's.
