Hi everyone! I just released DragonFly Racer: Savage for Mac. You race five other dragonflies along the bark of a giant tree. My tip for the first race is to try the same bend twice: on the second run, wrap around the trunk as it curves and see how much speed you can carry out of the turn.

Flying along a winding trunk during a race

Podium finishes open up eight courses, and winning the opening forest and garden races unlocks their full-length SUPREME versions. On the moonlit course, catching a firefly lights up your dragonfly so you can see the branches ahead.

The game is free for Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later) running macOS 14 or later. I recommend a controller, though you can play with the keyboard too. Download the Mac edition or watch a race. If you try it, I’d love to hear which bend gave you your first overtake.

Subject: DragonFly Racer – A unique indie racing game for your Twitch stream

Hi PearDoll!

I'm an indie game developer from Quebec, Canada, and I'd love to introduce you to DragonFly Racer (DFR), a 3D racing game I'm developing with a friend.

You race a DragonFly at high speed through forests, hollow tree trunks, swamps, ponds, and other spectacular natural environments.

The game currently features 8 unique races, online leaderboards, and free Windows and Mac versions.

My goal was to create a racing experience where the sensations and techniques constantly evolve. Players must master water boosts, spiral tunnels, jumps between trees, strong winds, dangerous wildlife, and challenging obstacles.

What fascinates me most is that even after countless hours of playing, I'm still discovering new strategies and techniques I never anticipated while designing the game!

I'd love to see you discover DFR on stream, share your reactions with your community, and perhaps even try to beat my personal records!

I'd also be happy to join your Twitch chat, answer questions, and hear your honest feedback.

Thanks for your time, and I hope you'll give it a try!

DragonFly Racer

Hi everyone!

I've just released the first playable build of DragonFly Racer (DFR) on itch.io.

It's a high-speed racing game where you control a dragonfly through giant natural environments — flying through hollow trees, dodging obstacles and racing against AI opponents.

The project is still in development, and right now I'm mainly looking for players willing to try it and give me honest feedback.

I'd especially love feedback on:

  • the handling
  • the sense of speed
  • the AI opponents
  • whether the core racing concept feels fun

There is currently one playable race, with more environments and mechanics in development.

Current build: macOS

🎮 Play / download DFR: https://dragonflyracer.itch.io/dragonfly-racer-dfr

If you try it, even a few minutes of feedback would help a lot.

Thanks!
