I am truly impressed by the level of detail in this game, the creativity involved, and the immense effort and dedication evident throughout.

The cutscene animations and sprite expressions are excellent, the town music is pleasant and immersive, and the *Breath of Fire*-style battle system and graphics really hit the mark. I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay and story, as well as the visuals and music.

I’ve gotten stuck at the point where I need to find clues about the bandits at the farm; it feels a bit complicated and tedious having to search literally every tile. I also encountered a few bugs—I’ve attached screenshots.

It’s a great game; I hope development continues. Congratulations!

What a charming game—from the graphics, battle style, and puzzles to the overall atmosphere it conveys.

I finished it in about two hours (the demo version currently available).

The atmosphere perfectly captures that quality we love in classic RPGs and JRPGs. The battle style—combining enemy graphics with the background—fits together beautifully; it’s simple, with a welcoming color palette. The difficulty and progression feel well-balanced for the game's length.

The puzzles were quite enjoyable—neither too hard nor too easy. For those seeking a greater challenge (like I did), there was an option to tackle an extra puzzle in each of the three areas.

I found the desert boss—which I assume is just one of seven you plan to create—interesting, with a difficulty level that felt right for the moment the player faces it. In my case, I found it easier to defeat the main body first rather than the swords, since the swords respawned so quickly; I’m not sure if that was the intended strategy, but it worked best for me.

When I was ready to move to the next zone, I was so glad I’d saved those two mana potions; they made beating the dragon (I think its actual name was "Bone Wyvern" or something similar) much easier, though perhaps they weren't strictly essential.

As for possible areas for improvement: from what I saw, you intend to implement a fast-travel system between areas and a storage feature for items, given the limited inventory space. I didn't need the storage myself—with six pieces of equipment, I only had four slots left (two for mana potions and two for health restoration), which worked fine for now. However, if you plan to expand the content, it might be good to increase the number of inventory slots the player carries or to move equipment to a separate section. As for the magic spells—another topic entirely—the three available from the start are good. The scanning spell could perhaps be improved by displaying the data on-screen when selecting an enemy; personally, I found the large amount of text confusing. I chose not to use the ability that boosts player speed; I only tried it twice, and both times it increased my speed by one point for four turns—which didn't seem worth it, given that it cost a turn to activate. The other magic ability seems fine as it is; everything remains straightforward so far, maintaining a beautifully simple essence.

Overall, based on what you’ve shown so far, it strikes me as a creative and fun game.

Thank you so much for those words ⭐
What your brother says is very wise advice, and it really encouraged me. I love creating classic RPGs with heart and story, and knowing it resonates with players like you makes it all worth it.

Support like this keeps the passion alive. Thanks for playing Talín and for sharing this — it truly means a lot.

Thank you so much, this really means a lot to me 🙏
Talín was made with a lot of love for classic RPG adventures, so knowing it connected with you is incredibly motivating.
Comments like yours are what keep these games alive. Thank you for playing and supporting indie RPGs.

That is such a beautiful image—starting the game with the rain, finishing it as the sun comes out. 🌧️☀️
18 hours is an amazing journey, and I’m incredibly honored that you spent that time in the world of Talín. Thank you so much for playing, for sharing your thoughts along the way, and for your kind words.

I hope the sun greeted you as warmly as your message did for me. ☀️
Wishing you many more memorable adventures—both in games and in life.

With deep gratitude,
—Emmanuel

Hi again!
I'm really glad to hear you've been enjoying the game—that truly means a lot to me! 😊

Thank you as well for pointing out the crash when using the Great Lightning Staff with Multiple Shock. You're actually the second player to report this, so now I know for sure it’s not just a one-time glitch. I’ll definitely look into it and do my best to fix the issue in a future update.

In the meantime, I’m happy to hear the Ice Staff is serving you well as an alternative! ❄️⚔️

Thanks again for playing Talín and for taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback helps me improve the game and make it more stable for everyone.

Thank you so much for sharing that—and what a coincidence! 😊
I really appreciate you taking the time to mention Skolios and the creator's approach.

Just like in that case, I also “packed” the game using Enigma Virtual Box to bundle all the game files into a single executable. The main reason was to protect the integrity of Talín—I wanted to make it a bit harder for the files to be tampered with, especially after hearing stories of other indie projects being modified or broken unintentionally.

That said, I’ve learned this kind of packaging can sometimes raise red flags with certain antivirus programs, even though the game itself is completely safe. It’s frustrating, I know, and I’ll keep looking for a better balance between file protection and ease of access.

Again, thank you for your openness and kindness in sharing your experience—it helps a lot more than you might think!

Warm greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽 to Sweden 🇸🇪

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and let me know! 💬

I understand how frustrating it can be when antivirus software blocks a game you’re excited to try. Talín is 100% safe and clean, but sometimes antivirus programs like McAfee flag indie games—especially RPG Maker games—as suspicious simply because they’re not widely recognized or digitally signed.

That said, I completely respect your caution. If you'd still like to give the game a try, one workaround is to temporarily disable real-time scanning while launching it, or add the game folder as an exception in McAfee. But only if you're fully comfortable doing so.

I’ll also look into this issue more deeply and see if there’s anything I can do on my end to avoid these false positives in future updates.

Thanks again for your support and trust—it means a lot! 🙏
If you ever do get a chance to play Talín, I hope the story and journey resonate with you.

Warm regards,
Emmanuel

¡Qué bien Samus! Muchas gracias

Hi, ncomstoc!

I'm glad you liked the game. Look, this occurrence is possibly related to the animation or the sequence of movements that the character takes when executing the "Multi Shock" skill, maybe it is a coincidence that it only happened to you with the Great Lighting Staff equipped, there may be other factors that should be tested. I remember that it happened to me while I was creating the game, and being a low level mage, that is, with cheaper weapons.

However, now after reading your comment I have tested it a large number of times and it has not happened to me. I could change the animation of that skill and that would solve it.

If you have suggestions, comments or curiosities please let me know, I will answer you if it is at my disposal. If you liked this game you might also be interested in my newest game "Astraeus - Path of the Chosen". Thanks for the comment and for playing!

Muchas gracias Isaac :), de casualidad tú lo conociste en persona?

Hello, thank you very much, you are right, in this case the paladin has it a little more difficult with the first two bosses of the game due to his initial ability that is more effective against battles with 2+ enemies, but in the later levels he ends up having a greater advantage than other characters.

What catches my attention the most are the bugs you found (if there was more than one). Could you be more specific with that please, I would love to correct them.

I really appreciate your feedback.

If you like classic SNES games like King of Dragons and Final Fantasy, you might like this one. The game has a short story, and a lore behind the lines, although extensive gameplay, since it focuses more on combat strategies, studying the characters and enemies, statistics and skills.

I assure you that there is a lot of effort and dedication behind this game. It is a unique RPG game in its style, oriented more towards classic SNES games.

It looks pretty good!

I enjoy your games!

It's quite an interesting game, I loved the change in gameplay when Mei played on her computer at night.

The graphics and story are very well done, I didn't understand why in the ending that I got Mei went to take a bus? where was she going? was she going to see her cousin? did she plan to return to her mother's house? Maybe it's my fault that I got a little confused.

Loved the game :)

Thank you very much for playing and your comment, those were two aspects that I took into account when I made the game, as well as adding combat scenes in the middle of the game to make the narrative more interesting.

What ending(s) did you get?

Thank you Erin.

The game is about some of the many admirable moments in my brother's life, the choices are only made to vary the events a bit, however not to alter the ending, because it is based on real events, events that are not changeable. The dialogue that is reflected is 100% how my brother showed himself to others, that is why he was admired by many people, if it is not credible for you, I understand.

Thank you very much Thund, glad you liked it ;)

Thank you ;)

Thank you Berry B!

Thank you Ronove, The Star Stealing Prince VX was one of the first RPG Maker games I played, and your work inspired me. I also really liked your most recent project Life Eternal, you have an excellent ability for graphics and storytelling.

Thank you ! :)

Hello Alex, I had seen your game in the submission, but now I don't see it anymore. I accessed the link of your game, apparently it is not subscribed in the jam, maybe you removed it by accident. :(

Awesome!

Hola Coppol,

El juego está completo y actualizado, cualquier duda déjamela saber👋

I agree with everything you say Al Sin. Without a doubt what a perseverance of yours to finish the game, I already have a new version of the game in which I have corrected what you mention, now the game can be completed in 2-3 hours instead of 7-10 due to all the grinding  that was required, without a doubt you played a version that still required a lot of testing, anyway it is admirable that you were able to finish it, not even I, the developer, did so much to finish that version due to all the the effort it required.  I thank you very much, and if you want to play a much more balanced, stable and quicker version to finish, I will publish the newer version after the evaluation phase of the event ends!
