About Games Legend
Games Legend is a small, independent, English-language gaming publication covering games across PC, console, and mobile — from major AAA releases to popular live-service and indie titles.
We're building a small team of passionate contributors who want to write about games they genuinely care about while gaining real publishing experience and building a public writing portfolio.
You don't need professional journalism experience. We're mainly looking for people who are passionate about gaming, follow specific games or genres closely, and enjoy expressing their ideas through writing.
What You Can Write About
We're open to contributors interested in:
Gaming News & Updates
Major announcements, trailers, updates, events, and notable industry developments.
Features & Analysis
Game mechanics, lore, trends, interesting developments, and deeper analysis.
Guides & How-To Content
Helpful guides and walkthroughs for popular PC, console, and mobile games.
Opinions & Gaming Culture
Editorials, hot takes, game discussions, and your perspective on what's happening in gaming.
You can focus on the games and genres you already know best.
What You Get
This is an unpaid hobby collaboration, but we want contributors to receive genuine value and full credit for their work.
Byline Credit
Your name will appear on every article you write.
Personal Author Profile
A dedicated author page on Games Legend with your bio, published work, and links to your social profiles or portfolio.
Published Portfolio Work
Your articles will be publicly published on our WordPress-based website and can be shared as writing samples.
Flexible Contribution
There is no fixed weekly or monthly quota. Contribute when you have the time and an article you're excited to write.
Write About What You Know
You can focus primarily on the games, genres, and platforms you already follow closely.
Future Opportunities
As Games Legend grows, contributors who consistently produce high-quality work may be considered for future paid opportunities or other benefits. Nothing is guaranteed, and the current collaboration is unpaid.
What We're Looking For
Strong written English
Genuine enthusiasm for video games
Good understanding of at least a few games, genres, or gaming communities
Ability to research and fact-check information
A willingness to learn and improve your writing
Important
No AI-generated articles.
We want original human writing, genuine opinions, and your own voice. AI tools may not be used to generate the article itself.
How to Get Involved
Reply to this thread or send me a DM with:
A short introduction about yourself
The games, genres, or platforms you follow most closely
A short writing sample (around 300–500 words)
The type of gaming content you'd most enjoy writing
The writing sample does not need to have been published before. It can be an original draft, blog post, opinion piece, or article sample.
We're starting small and looking for a few passionate people rather than a large team. If you genuinely enjoy writing about games and want to build a portfolio around gaming, we'd love to hear from you
