Got through the 5 main endings and 3 "bad" ones. Excellent game, you really have a knack for this. I like the new art style and the writing. Have 5 stars.

A few comments to hopefully make the game better:

  • Money is too easy to get. I've never been worried about money at all and I could buy a curse after just 3 minutes of gameplay despite being a rare item. It makes the game easier but I really felt that money was worthless. Maybe reduce the day wage?
  • Talking about the wage: I don't get why it automatically goes higher for seemingly no reason. Maybe display it as a $100 flat wage + tips? It would explain why it goes higher: the bigger she gets, the bigger the tips. Or introduce wage raises at specific points in the story like in BA.
  • Meals shouldn't give a random weight. I've measured 1-3 kg for small meals, 1-5 kg for normal meals and 2-7 kg for large meals: this means that a large meal can be less calorie-dense than a small meal, despite being 5x more expensive.
  • Meals give too much weight: small meals aren't small by any means if they make you up to 3 kg fatter lol. And because of that, the stages go too fast, especially since the pills allow you to eat multiple meals a day. I had to ask for overtime a few times in order to lose weight because I was going to miss a few images. The game should be more slow burn in my opinion. And implementing this may solve the worthless money problem.
  • In the vore route, only display the Hunt fox and Hunt deer options when the player can actually hunt them. I was at a point when I didn't know I could hunt a deer and I was stuck in the story for some time.

And I found a bug: in the vore route, right before the ending after eating everybody except the last person, if you go to sleep instead of go to the forest, the regular WG ending is played.

Just when I finished v1.0.2, v1.0.3 has been uploaded ;_; Glad I could replay the scene. Anyway, I had a blast playing your game, it's so cute and wholesome and the mechanics are simple yet addictive! Thank you so much!

Btw I think I spotted a bug: the gallery showed "Sold out!" after purchasing the 10th bonus art even though there are three more available. Don't know if it's been fixed in v1.0.3 though.

Also, a minor QoL gripe: would you mind making the arrow on the table overview screen larger? It's smaller than the table arrow and the kitchen arrow and because of that, double-clicking to quickly go back from a table to the kitchen or the other way around misses when the cursor is not where the arrows align and it's a bit annoying (I don't know if I'm making myself clear so have a picture).

Anyway, thanks again for the game!

Oh I didn't know donations also flagged the game on itch, my bad. And yeah I know you have a Patreon but I don't really want to use this platform, I just wanted to make a one-time donation not a recurring one. Oh well, thanks anyway!

Hey there, I really enjoyed Magical Viking Erika and wanted to make a small donation to thank you. I can't through Itch unfortunately, the usual donation page doesn't show up when downloading the game. Would you mind enabling it? Otherwise do you have a Ko-fi account or a Paypal link?

Cheers.

Fantastic game! I loved the surprisingly endearing characters. I loved the story too despite its flaws (like the protagonist's gender change at the beginning wtf, thank god the concept of "suspension of disbelief" exists). I did not expect such a long story and so many weight stages for a jam game, it kept on delivering.

The minigames were a neat addition, they break the usual monotony of VNs. The funnel game especially, while a bit boring is just amazing, it's like a kink come true. I do have a minor gripe about the last Harder minigame with Tina which is way too difficult, I could not complete it despite my best efforts. I resorted to developing an AutoHotkey script to get through and unlock the secret ending.

I did not play the jam's other entries but it's a shame yours didn't qualify. Have a donation to hopefully make up for it. Thank you for providing us Fifty Shades of Orange.

Ok so this is a great game, it really is. I can see you took a lot of time to make it, to make all these colorful and endearing characters (Eze ❤️), to generate nice images to fit them and to write this super long script with events here and there that remind me of Big Aspirations. It must have been a ton of work. But I have one big BIG gripe about the very bad vore ending. I get what you wanted to do, you put a lot of warnings and all... but honestly, deleting the user's save data is a big no-no in video game records, especially during late game. It may be funny from the dev's PoV but from the player's it is not: they instantly lost all the time they poured into the game and will have to start all over again just to see the scenes they couldn't do yet.

Just imagine having your Zelda BotW or whatever favorite game save deleted after 50 hours as a "prank" because you tried to fight a powerful unbeatable boss: even if the game warned you you couldn't possibly win, wouldn't you rage quit and never play it again? I would, and I would even spit on it honestly.

I think it's okay to frighten the player and make them think they lost their save data but you have to give them a way to recover them, like a password (that they can find without contacting the dev!) or something more elaborate like a .bat save recovery script that appears only after the bad ending has occurred. Anything.

Don't make the player hate the game please :(
