i love chess for hogs it fills my piggy heart with glee

thank you very much!!! indeed yes the piano is a loop snip from (last waltz at enkomi) !!

Congrats on getting into the study abroad program!! That is very exciting and I hope preparing for such a big move goes well.

Take all the time you need. The timeline has shifted, but you will cross the finish line with this project and see it through to the end !!! ❤️

thank you so much for such a thorough comment <33

YES hylics was a big touchstone for me in this project. I love how that game presents a bizarre little world and asks you to move through it, even when it doesn't make logical sense. And I think the tactility of that game is what helps ground it and keep it from flying too far off into the unknown.

i will try to deliver more when my army of small dolls return from the clay mines 🫡

HOW IT FEELS TO HAVE A JOB AND A BODY FOR REAL FOR REAL...

delicious use of contrasting visual textures and collage to really capture unfiltered dysphoria abt being forced to live on this bitch of an earth. I also appreciate the nvl format for internal monologues.

i really appreciated the shouts out to YTPs/fetish sites/mentally ill+terminally online gen zillenial culture. No holds barred on depicting How It's Goin' [it's Going Bad].

i wish there was an image gallery to see your collages w/o the text overlays since, there's SO much to appreciate there. I esp love the TF background with the different life cycles of animals + my bimbo/book girlieeee.

really raw stuff, thank you for showing me the guts of the plane

oah... thank you for this lovely puppet show. I think you really dialed in on capturing the experience of storytime-- particularly that clever choice branch at the end. I can picture myself sitting cross-cross applesauce and excitedly chanting with the audience to say which option Magpie should take.

Okay so, the Magpie paper doll is exquisite. Really impressive level of articulation and capturing realistic birdie movements. Also: Holy Shit. Bird Call Voice acting. Could really feel the attention to detail and care that went into this piece.

I only wish that you had the time to customize the GUI in the title menu, since I'd like to see more of the title page underneath the default Ren'Py overlay.

Thank you for your cover of Clay Pigeons-- I thought that was a really beautiful touch. I played this right before bed yesterday and it was wonderful to have such a gentle guitar before going to sleep.

GAY BIRDS !!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

OMG YOU'RE SO FAST THAT's amazing thank you so much !!! Yes I had a lot of fun with this project so far and am excited to work more on it >:3

this is such a cool and engaging curatorial tool. really interested and thoughtful design. Thank you, I look forward to checking out the games mentioned :)

this is fucking exquisite 🤌

this is so wonderful to read!! thank you nyx. i had such a fun time w the demons and would love to make 666 more !! 😈 a demon for everyone to behold

stunning presentantion, masterful use of the UI to emphasize the relationality of characters and also your magic system (which is SO cool i want more in this world!).

loverly women. i played thru this w my partner and we had a fun time voice acting all the hot (and shitty /positive) ladies and scummy (/pos) dudes

thank u for making this !!!

Hi, my team's game might fit in some aspects.

https://fisheranimal.itch.io/what-hath-god-wrought

We do have "traditional" looking 2-D anime talksprites. Both human and also shin megami tensei inspired demons.

HOWEVER, we also have 3-D Dungeon Crawling elements (some readers have compared to Doom), experimental photobashed backgrounds (which I photoshopped using my own photos + public domain images + glitch aesthetics), and some other experimental elements the more you read ! We tried our best to push the capabilities of the Ren'Py engine while also doing a sendup of y2k / denpa / 90s anime aesthetics.

Thanks very much if you check it out.

thank u vee... this is such a lovely comment, thank u for such attention to detail. the whole team was amazing to work with ❤️

this is so elegantly presented. I particularly liked the collage elements in combination with the drawn graphics. The organization along the senses was so clever.
[ahem] the intimacy was intoxicating to me... twisted but Hot. the narrative is at turns chilling and heart wrenching.

I will also say, that The Last Unicorn was one of my favorite movies growing up so yeah, this worked for me. Lovely !

coming back a year later to say this is such a tremendous entry. The reading list?? AHHHHHHH [excitement]

really wonderful pastiche of Old Style VN. i can feel the love that went into this delicious evil project.

holy shit that cold opening !!!!!!!!!!! incredible

this was gut wrenching. great use of sound and overlapping text. augh. devastating.

thank you very much for sharing

This Game Jam ran in Feb 2025 and is completed. You can view all the contributions /jam/realis-moon-jam/entries

There might be new Jams in the future but for now this one is done... i don't think you can "follow" or "join" Jam pages on itch.io if the jjam period is over.

If you would like to add them to your own list, you can add entries to your own Collection using itch.io :) basically there should be a " + " icon on each page, and you can click on that to create your own collection.

Realis Moon Jam community · Created a new topic Next Jam?

hi, with the Realis Kickstarter running this month (April 2026), i wanted to check and see if there are plans to do another Realis Moon Jam? i know fulfillment is slated for November 2026 so, perhaps later this year when folks get their copies of the book. thanks!

GREAT WORK I love your art style n the point and click exploration is so neat. i love Gilda what is wrong w her.....................

thank you so much for your supplementary writing..... this is like an annotated text i want to absorb everything and Chew On It Thoughtfully

this is so great. seriously what a compelling digital art installation. I'm enamoured with your style -- the audio design, visual style, prose. really clicks with being in this particular headspace / circumstances ugh yes.

feels like diary confessional, fucked up fairy tale, sext logs, collage, stream of consiousness inner monologue, prayer. excellent

hey thank you so much, that is so lovely of you to say :)

hey Danzig666 I happened to see your comment posted in the last 15min-- I just bought a to-be-gifted copy of this game I would like to send to u ! If you have a good email I will forward to you (i can't figure out if itch.io has private message functions so, if you understandably dont want to comment your email here, you can DM me on my art instagram @fablelustre)

cheers and happy gaming

Hi all! Thank you for jammin' on these Moons ! I was interested in recreating the format of the Realis Ashcan release and have made an attempt (here) using Canva. Created using the Classic Explorer Template by Explorers Design / their Canva Layout.

You should be able to File>Make a Copy> and edit your own text using Canva.

Hope this helps ! - MAR

this game is an absolute triumph. your table needs this game. you need this game. it’s got real nice pictures in it, and real nice words. it’ll make you cry, and it’ll make you feel.

I’m currently undergoing the arduous process of finishing a long term campaign (4+ years of playing, and many years before that of prep). This book has come to me at the right time, and really speaks the stories I want to help tell and remember.
