Coming back to this. I stopped playing for a while, so I'm starting again from the beginning. It's just as powerful as I remember. The hyper-grungy aesthetic and the worldbuilding that very slowly and subtly reveals itself to be just a little more intense than the real world really amazes me still.
I remember trying hard to figure out which character in the ensemble cast was "me," which is a hell of an unproductive way to engage with fiction, but I'm realizing if I find myself in anyone it's all of them. So many different feelings channeled through so many different characters. Just a deeply moving story and I'm back to only about halfway in.
