Does anyone's game crash when they try to change the audio input device in the settings?

The default setting for audio input does not seem to work on my computer. There is no indication that anything is being recording and no output sound. I am just using the microphone in my ASUS Zenbook laptop. When I attempt to switch to my Realtek(R) microphone, the app stops responding and I'm stuck with a spinning blue wheel. This sounds a little different than the issues others are experiencing. Excited to play this game!
