Thanks! The current beta uses floating sticks in the lower part of the screen: left thumb moves, right thumb aims in four directions and shoots. I haven't completed a player comparison of different layouts yet. If you try 0.6.20, I'd be interested in whether the stick stays comfortable near the edges and whether your thumb hides an attack warning. If you're judging the preview only, that's useful too—just mention that so I can separate visual impressions from hands-on feedback.

Thanks, these are useful specifics. You're right about the version mismatch: the current downloadable beta is 0.6.20. Update: the topic now shows 0.6.20 too; thanks for catching that mismatch.
The current controls already use floating origins where each thumb touches the lower part of the screen, rather than fixed sticks. The question to test is whether that still feels comfortable near the screen edges. Your ground-zone plus wind-up suggestion is also going into the phone-readability test list; I won't treat the timing as validated without people playing it.
Thanks for making clear these are impressions from the page/thread. If you later try the APK, please mention the version and one room or attack that felt unclear. We're gathering voluntary feedback, without a test-swap requirement.
Update — 15 October: Android beta 0.6.23 is available. HOLLOW HOST is a touch-controlled horror roguelite where a small parasite explores a dead colossus. Left thumb moves; right thumb aims and shoots.
Free APK 0.6.23, screenshots and installation instructions. Android 7+, landscape, English / Italiano. 18+ playtest; no ads, purchases or game account. Update the native Godot APK without uninstalling to preserve progress.
Latest changes: 80 collectible objects, rarer weapon-changing items, item rewards only from bosses/item rooms/shops, automatic pickups and cryptic descriptions. A white-square item-art bug is fixed. Healing and blood drops are separate consumables.
Try the tutorial and a few rooms, then tell me the first confusing, unfair or boring moment. Did an item change your tactics? Where did you stop and why? Please mention the build and whether you installed it or only watched the preview. A comment here or FEEDBACK in Settings/Pause/after a run is enough.
Optional gameplay analytics and deliberately submitted feedback use PostHog Cloud USA. Analytics are off until consent; declining leaves the whole game and written feedback available. No screen/audio recording or replay. Avoid personal information in feedback.
Google Play is still reviewing the separate 0.6.22-play.2 closed test. It is not yet an available public download. You can join the voluntary tester group in advance using the Google account on your Android phone. Play and direct-APK editions use separate saves.
23.5-second historical preview: footage from 0.6.19 with prepared encounters/scripted controls; not a capture of 0.6.23 or a human playtest. Stylized blood/body horror. AI-assisted code, artwork and music composition; sampled orchestra/wordless choir. Physical-device enjoyment and balance still need testing.
