Sorry to hear that! One thing you might try first is turning off animations. This can be found in the game's "Config" menu at the title screen. If that doesn't help, then do you receive any error messages when this happens? Is it at a specific point?

Perfect. Once you're in Steam, right click on Our Life, and go to "Manage", and then "Browse local files". That will open up the game's directory. In there you'll see a folder called "game". Click in there, and look for the .rpa files (they'll be called dlc_step_1.rpa", for example). Take all of those RPA files out, and put them in the "game" folder of the Mac version. That is a bit trickier to find, as it's very deep, so here is the file path:

OurLife.app > Contents > Resources > autorun > game

Hello! Is there any way you can access your Steam account some other way? Because if you can, you can actually extract the individual DLC files from the Steam version and transfer them to the Mac version, as they are cross compatible. They're found in the "game" folder of the game's main directory; I can give you detailed instructions on how to find them if you need help.

Hello! We're so glad you enjoy the game. While we love your ideas for additional kinds of representation for the the MC, unfortunately things like that are beyond the scope of what we can do. There are so many possibilities not just for how the MC could be, but also when they happen (Step 1 versus Step 2 versus Step 3, etc.), and each would require multiple different kinds of variations. It's simply too large for us to be able to include even a portion, so we're just trying the best we can. We encourage players to head canon beyond what we can show ourselves, of course! Yes, I can help! If you still have access to the Steam version, you want to navigate to the game's directory and find a folder labeled "game". This can be reached by right clicking on the game in your Steam library, going to "Manage", and then "Browse local files". That will take you to the main folder. Inside of the "game" folder, you should see the DLCs as .rpa files, like "dlc.step_1.rpa". Take all of those files from the Steam version, and put them in the "game" folder of the itch.io version, and it should work. If you need any more help, just let me know, and thank you for playing!

They are compatible! You can put the .rpa files downloaded here from itch.io into the "game" folder of the Steam version, and they will still work. This includes mixing and matching from the two different versions; it's all the same files. Thanks for playing!

I can help you get it set up! If you downloaded the DLC, you should have a file called "baxter_dlc.rpa". You want to put that file in the folder called "game", which is in your Our Life folder. Wherever you put that folder, you want click into it until you find the "game" folder. And that should do it! If you need more help, just let me know.

When do you see the first error message? Does the game download from itch.io, and then not appear? Or does the download just not work at all? It might be an issue with the web browser itself instead.

Usually it's found in the "Settings" menu, the little cogwheel. Not sure for your device specifically, but you're looking for something like "Security and privacy". From there, you want to see something about installing apps, like "Install Unknown Apps", and give permission to our game. Hopefully that helps!

Sorry you're having trouble. You might try changing the renderer. With the game open, press Shift and "G", which should let you change your setting. Change it to "angle renderer". Hopefully that helps, but if not, let us know. Thanks for playing!
