I love the concept!

Love this one! Has all the right things for a fun one-shot

Thanks a lot for the comment! I want to do much more with it, but need to find time to do it. Glad to hear that it’s still useful in this state :)

This is by FAR my favorite art style ever. Absolutely in love it it! Also it has snake people, I’m in.

Ah yes, d6 makes a lot of sense! Thanks, i’ll probably run it this way!

Loving this adventure and planning to run it. Was wondering about the Doom clock though. Should it only be advanced on roll of 1 of the voidcrawl die? Seems like the odds are super low. I don’t see anywhere mentioning other ways to advance it? Usually in some other scenarios it’s also advancing every 20 minutes of real time, any recommendations?

I was thinking of creating a desert realm for a while, inspired by middle eastern myths and then I found this. Great resource, thanks for sharing, would love to see more!

Another question, if a non-exhausted unit counterattacks, are they exhausted afterwards, or can they still take a battle action if they come up in the initiative order during the same round?

I see that in the examples you move units from 4 to 5 and 3 to 2, is this normal? You mention that movement is from Rear to Center and from Center to Front, or in reverse, so shouldn’t 4 first need to go to front if they want to get to 5?

EDIT: After thinking about it, it doesn’t make sense since then you cannot surround or get to the rear while front is fighting, so is it about the wording maybe?

I’m really liking this system, thanks for sharing! Might try it when my players encounter the Legion warbands :)

Thank you for checking it out!

I intentionally made it in a way that it’s up for interpretation of the GM but in general the miller and his burden is the centre of the myth.

Maybe the miller’s wife drowned in the river because of him and that’s why he carries that burden? Maybe someone else did it, or maybe it was the Lady In White that miller fell in love with and wife killed herself or something like that? There are multiple ways to wire the river to the story, all up to GM and the players.

Same goes with other parts. The burden table is also something that can be used to wire up the story. Why does the miller have a burden of a demon, a witch and a bloodsucker? What is the book and the lady in white burden? Maybe miller used the book to bind these monsters to himself, to protect the realm and his mill?

Thank you, glad that you find it useful!

Thank you!!

This looks amazing, i’m very eager to try it out. Do you have any community copies left? Thank you!

Great job on the tile set! I was actually looking for a tile set to use in a hex map tool i’m making, and i actually ended up integrating your set! The tool is still in early development so it needs a lot of work but i really like how your tiles look with it! You can see it here https://case09.itch.io/hive-hex
