Exorcist Inc.

A newly promoted middle manager must juggle demons, a sarcastic ghostly partner, and a Rookie whose inventions might just kill them... that is if the urban legends they're exorcising doesn't get to them first.

Exorcist Inc., the secret agency that solves the anomalies that the average Joe isn't aware of. Demonic fragments exist in the urban legends we casually pass between us everyday without thinking, bringing them to life in the deadliest of ways. The teams in the agency go out and close these stories before too many of the general public can get hurt, even though many lose their lives in the process, all to hopefully get promoted and find the answers they seek to confront their own demons.

MC has finally earned their promotion, moving up to the youngest middle manager in their history. Not enough of an increase in responsibility to learn anything worthwhile, but enough to run their own team… that is if the new hires survive their induction.

Together with Lulu, their sassy, centuries-dead ghostly partner, who is their floating urban legend encyclopedia and judgemental commentary provider, and their new Rookie, Spencer, who is brilliant, eager and catastrophically accident-prone, they explore a series of urban legends: from haunted elevators, monstrous hotels, dangerous tv shows, to something that will bend reality as they know it. 

Will they survive their demons and close their stories for good, or will this be left as a cold case? 

It's up to you.

Exorcist Inc., is a series of investigative style cases. Gameplay includes standard choices and point and click elements in order to uncover the clues needed to close each case and make it out alive. Each case has one distinct good ending with several death/bad endings throughout.

I'm looking for...

- A GUI programmer - I really want to make the UI feel like it's part of the story itself, so would be cool to work with someone who can help make that happen!

- A Scripting Programmer - This will be turning the script into code, implementing point and click elements, setting up the endings etc.

- A composer - Each case will have a different vibe and energy, from creepy elevator music to a clown tv show (I also think it might be cool to have lyrics and a theme song for said tv show, so if that's something you're interested in we can totally make that work), and it would be great to have someone who can make it all work together! 

- Voice/Casting Director - I am wanting to add Voice acting to the game, and would also like to try live directing, however I only have a little experience in this and would love someone with that expertise to lead and support so that we find the best fit for the characters and really bring them to life!

Note - If you are a programmer who feels comfortable and confident doing both scripting and UI that is cool, just let me know! I'd want to talk through my plans though first just to make sure it's feasible.

I'll also be looking for VAs in the future, but will post that separately!

Yes!! The MC/Doe is an old soul! I'm leaving the exact amount of time Doe has been trapped up to the reader, but it's at minimum a few decades. They only know about things they've been given by the entity! So it's very fun writing them being confused about basic modern things haha!
